Kate might not have been in as a brilliant a mood as she had yesterday, but it was still okay enough. They were right by Disneyland Paris, come on. It was going to take a little more than a cranky, painkiller-addled BFF-or-possibly-not to entirely wreck her mood. But it had made her a little more pensive than she had been, yesterday. About a lot of things.

She did not count the shifts she had left as she idly straightened up some of the merchandise in the concessions stand.

"You're welcome," he said, chuckling at that smugness. "Would you like me to come back at the end of your shift to walk you back to the dorms?"

"Then, I shall do that," he said, leaning over the counter to try and catch another kiss from her. "I'll bring you something to eat too since I know that's a quick way to your heart."

"You make me sound like a glutton," she snickered as she leaned in to meet him for that kiss. "But do please bring something to eat."

"I will," he mumbled against her lips, lingering for a moment or two. "I love you. I'll be back in a few hours."

"You will," he said, kissing her once more before stepping back and heading for the door. "See you later, then."

Kate waved after him, then fixed her ears once more before going back to... not doing much at all.
