The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

Jessica had gone shopping on the mainland the night before, and she'd scored some Vamp nail polish from Chanel (and the matching lipstick, of course). It was a moral imperative she buy it, but she'd hadn't had time to do her nails before getting home. So now as she sat by the door to the club, she carefully painted her nails. So sorry about the fumes.

Hercules wandered into the establishment wearing nice, proper club clothes. They even fit him properly, which was somewhat amazing given his build. He produced his Victor Tegler drivers license and smile when he approached Jessica. "I do hope you are doing well tonight, fair lady."

Jessica set down the polish bottle and blew on her fingertips. "It's all right, I guess," she said. She was kind of hungry, but she wasn't going to bring that up.

Jessica looked down and snickered. "You wouldn't say that if you saw the pirate who works here on Mondays," she said. "I mean, he's kinda pretty, but he's definitely not a girl. Even if he uses more makeup than I do."

Hercules, dressed in normal clothes thank goodness, could not help but succumb to his curiosity regarding the smaller-statured man. His own glass being a heavy beer, he walked over to greet the fellow.

"It helps to shut out the music," Tyrion said, as he slid a coaster into the book to hold his place and blinked at Hercules. "Besides, I don't have anything to drink in my apartment yet, and I can hardly be asked to read about the history of this world sober."

Hercules wasn't a particularly finicky drinker, so he was drinking beer that night. He wasn't going crazy with the amount, as he'd learned his lesson there.
