The Rooftops of the Warehouse District, Monday Night

So the weekend had been . . .

Well. Confusing was probably the best way to put it. She hadn't done anything particularly embarrassing herself, although everything at the wedding had been pretty upsetting, and the fact that all of it had just reset itself should seem oddly familiar was hard to wrap her brain around. She knew she should go talk to Tony, but she needed to clear her head first.

That was confusing, but getting out her grappling line and taking to the rooftops in costume? That was simple, and familiar, and comforting, and so tonight there was at least one Robin in the air above Fandom.

Aim, fire, launch. Building to building, cape streaming out behind her, the solid thump of her boots against the rooftops, the cool night air making her face tingle. This wasn't complicated; this felt right.

[OOC: Totally open if you're around the warehouse district! As always, Steph's actual identity NFB, please, so it's just Robin on the roof. :)]

Robin wasn't the only costumed hero who had decided old habits would be a great remedy for the events of the weekend. Hercules, however, preferred to stay to the streets. While it did sacrifice the vantage point, he liked the feel of pavement beneath his sandals. Catching a glimpse of cape going building to building above him, he raised a hand to his mouth and shouted.

"Ahoy there! Are you friend or foe?"

He had to ask, of course.

Hercules laughed at that, and jumped up and started to climb a convenient nearby fire escape. He was actually quite agile for a big lug.

"Well, I have many friends who wear capes, so that is a plus in your favor. But... well, I would say that I hope you patrol for the good of the people, but if you are out to prey on the innocent, it would mean I'd have a chance to fight you. And I do rather like that," Herc said, loud enough that his voice would carry as he climbed.

"You're on my roof," Iron Man informed her, only a hint of dry humor filtering through the modulator. Because he was totally territorial about something that wasn't actually his roof.

Really.

"Oh good, someone doesn't know everyone here," Iron Man said, sitting on the edge of the roof just past Robin.

As you do in a super suit.

Hercules pointed at Tony with a befuddled finger.

"Why are you a tiny Iron Man?" he said, thinking that it was kind of adorable, really. Even if he'd had more than a few disagreements with Tony in the not-too-distant past.

Why did he always run into people who knew him?

"I'm the same size I've always been," he replied not at all defensively.

"We could try that again, Iron Man offered. He was a giver like that.

"Just seeing someone out patrolling is more of an appointment itself!" Hercules declared, getting to the roof.

"Wait, I don't think that is how those words work."

[identity profile] olympian-herc.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
"That is adorable," Hercules had to say, unable to stop himself. "I just want to give you a big iron-noogie, now."

[identity profile] hoorayimrich.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Robin." They were such nerds. "Should I threaten you for being in my town now?"

[identity profile] hoorayimrich.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
"...no thanks."

Oh god, he was as bad as the vice principal! Was this guy going to send him pictures of Jack Daniels too?

[identity profile] hoorayimrich.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Iron Man cleared his throat, crossing his arms over his chest in a totally threatening way. "This town isn't big enough for the two of our color schemes."

"I didn't normally think this place needed patrolling, unlike Manhattan," Hercules admitted. "So I only did tonight as a matter of old habit. I am Hercules, fellow hero. May I have the pleasure of learning your code name?"

[identity profile] olympian-herc.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
No, but only because it was hard to find a place to keep a camera in Herc's outfit.

"Next thing you know, we will find an adorable little Miss Marvel or tiny Ant-Man," Herc said. "But then I would find it hard to choose loyalty between my tiny Champions and Avengers."

[identity profile] hoorayimrich.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
"Who?" Oh, you and your canon, Iron Man.

[identity profile] hoorayimrich.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't think I'm a green person," he admitted like he was breaking her heart.

[identity profile] olympian-herc.livejournal.com 2011-09-13 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Hercules looked a little sad at that. "You... have no Avengers in your world?"

That was a horrible thought!

"I don't think there's anyone out there doing this sort of thing."

At the moment. He'd meet one soon enough.
