A job was a job was a job, and since Bo had pants now, her list of excuses for not showing up at the bar was whittled down to 'Eric might laugh at me' which, eh. She'd looked in the mirror, thanks. If anybody laughed at anything about this version of her body, it would be at her flailing over it, so she'd just not be doing that. No matter how much she wanted to.

The walk into work might have been spent actively practicing lack-of-flail -- complete with made-up conversations where she casually explained her identity and gave a charming wink, which on reflection might have worked better in her head than out loud and addressed to what she thought was a lamp-post but turned out to be that one really tall clerk from J,GoB out for a smoke.

The sad part of all that was how Eric wasn't there and Tiny didn't even ask. He just pointed out the drink specials board, handed her the bar towel he'd been mopping up with, and muttered something about paying him back by never mentioning 'Tina' after his turn came around.

Hellooooo hot bartender. "And how's the evening going for you?" Ronan asked, dialing the lilt up a bit; he settled himself onto a bar stool, leaning forward onto his arms.

Oh, hey, something Bo knew how to do instinctively. "Well, it's not looking too bad so far. Little weird, but that's apparently Fandom for you."

"The day Fandom isn't a bit weird is the day I start to run for a bunker," Ronan allowed, laughing. "What kind of weirdness are we talking about right now?"

"The kind where I've met you before, but you don't remember me." What? That was weird for Bo.

Ronan blinked. "... Which means that you definitely look different," he pointed out, grinning a little more broadly, "because I can guarantee that you, I would remember. You still know who you are, so..." He ran through the usual Fandom tactics. "Normally a woman?"

Bo cocked and fired an unloaded finger. "Nice shooting. Though 'normal' might be up for debate even when I'm a woman, I guess."

"Habitually, then, perhaps?" Ronan suggested. "Or 'usually', although that might pose the same problems as 'normal'."

He gave Bo a good solid look up and down. "I do have to say, you do seem to have lucked out with the body you ended up in. If I may be so bold?"

A pony and a baby alligator walked into a bar --

"Gummy! What did I tell you? You're too young to come in here! Go back home!"

Okay, so just the pony walked in. The baby alligator sat outside and stared blankly at passersby.

Inside every hot sort-of-Italian-looking guy with a 28 year old woman inside him is a 12 year old girl just waiting to burst out.

Bo's life was complicated, yes.

"It's you! The pony-teacher!"

"I am!" Pinkie agreed. "Oh, but I don't teach ponies. I teach you human things."

"I'm Bo; I run the security office." Yes, she was dumb enough to try to offer a hand. "I'm, uh. Usually a girl human-thing, but this is one of those weekends."

"Oh! Then that's not just me, then!" Pinkie was relieved to hear that. This wasn't like when a bunch of people had turned into ponies. This was weird.

"You, um--" Oh God, Bo, don't LOOK! WHAT. NO. "You turned into a guy pony?"

"Well duh!" Pinkie threw her front hooves into the air. "Can't you tell?!"

"I really need a drink," said Dani as she took a seat. "Give me a beer. No, wait, make it whiskey. I need to drink enough to forget this."

Well, Bo knew why today was drinkworthy for her. "Lemme guess: much like me, you don't usually ~~look like Jaime~~ have facial hair?"

"Yes! I don't understand how guys put up with the facial hair," sighed Dani. "I'd shave it off, except I normally wax my legs and couldn't find a razor this morning. So you're supposed to be a girl, too? At least I'm not alone in this."

Bo nodded. "I've got a razor, but it didn't seem worth the trouble if it's only gonna last a couple of days. Plus I'm kind of a fan of it on guys."

On the girls, not so much. There was probably a bearded lady out there somewhere who could change her mind, though.

"I could be patient and wait, I guess. But still, it's going to drive me nuts until I change back," said Dani. "I prefer my guys to be clean-shaven, anyway."

"I can go either way." Cough. "Still, it does make me wonder why guys don't wax." Bo rubbed a hand over her...look, she was just going to stick with her, because she couldn't really think of herself as a man, body or no body. Her stubble. "They wouldn't have to shave nearly as often."

"True, but I bet they couldn't take the pain," said Dani with a smirk. "Faces must be a lot more sensitive than legs, anyway. A friend of mine from back home was getting her eyebrows waxed and accidentally got burned. This was at a really good spa, too."

Where there seemed to be a lot more guys than usual for some reason. OH, wait.

Where Eric wasn't, when Bo got in, though that could always change.

Where this headache can go frack itself, srsly. ALL DAMN DAY.
