Yep, it was still sort of weirdly warm out, and the banner was still flying, the registration tables were still open, and most importantly... there was still lots of food on the picnic tables.

Max did put on a nametag, carefully affixing it to his shirt. Not that Bart would stop long enough to read it, mind.

Rhodey's poor nametag had been stuck to his shirt when he first picked it up. That lasted for about a minute as he texted Tony to let him know that he was there.

By then, that sticky bit of paper was stuck to the bottom of his shoe. As you do.

Death had picked up a nametag, although he feared it wouldn't really be very useful, what with the rather elaborate script he preferred. It would probably be easier for him to tell people who he was. But that didn't seem to be in the spirit of the event, now did it?

No, the nametag would just go on his cloak. If it took people some time to make out all of the swirly letters, it would also give them time to possibly come to terms with who he was. Or not. You could never be sure with humans.

Since Hank wasn't on official X-Men business (and because nametags stuck to his fur like crazy), he was wearing a very nice suit and glasses, just to be a little extra formal. That formality might have been shattered when he wrote his name on the tag with his feet, granted, but you had to live a little. Especially if you were wearing a very nice suit.

Warren Worthington Jr. had last been here a matter of weeks ago, by his own standards. That so much time had passed here on the island was still something that was completely beyond his level of awareness.

What he did know was that his son had invited him here for another of these Parent Weekend events, and considering the unsteady ground he'd been on with the boy when last he left, he wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to try to forge some sort of relationship with his son, especially so soon.

He didn't particularly care for the nametags, but he put one on, and then looked around the park to see if perhaps his boy had decided to meet him here.

Death saw the security station and decided to avoid it. Just in case anyone questioned his 'walking stick.' Which he needed. For 'walking.' Not reaping anything, don't be silly. Just 'walking.'

If you listened closely, you could even hear his poor old knees making a sound when he walked. Therefore, he needed a 'walking stick.'

Neglecting to put on a... nametag, Alfred took a seat near the refreshments instead. Bruce would find him in due time, no doubt.

He might have kept an eye out for that charming Mrs. Hudson, though.

Alexander had warned Cassima that there would be many strange things on Fandom Island, and she remembered laughing at him, not unkindly, and reminding him of all the bizarre things she'd grown up with during visits to the Isle of Wonder.

Nothing could prepare her for the curiosity that was Cheese Poofs. What were they? Were they supposed to look so unnaturally orange? And what were they supposed to taste like? When she tentatively bit into one, she just couldn't understand it.

Yet she couldn't help eating more.

Ryan was pretty sure that there wouldn't be any visitors for her this weekend, and her Friday class was canceled. So she might as well try to make the best of things.

She filled up a plate with as much non-healthy food as she could find and claimed an empty table for herself. She would be back to moping as soon as the food was gone.

Quinn was still scouting out the picnic, nametag only the slightest bit wilted. She was finally hungry; she took half a sandwich and a couple pretzels and went to sit down.

Like Surreal was going to pass up free food; it was habit, and not one she intended to break.

She had claimed a picnic table, and was packing away more food than a girl of her size should be physically able to eat. And she kept going. It wasn't like she had any guests to be nice to or anything like that.

Karla knew that Lucivar was coming to visit. That wasn't going to stop her from hiding keeping her head down while she availed herself of Fandom's delicious brunch.

Om nom nom. Maybe Lucivar would spend awhile looking for her and then she could go wait for him...somewhere else. Also not hidey.

Whitney was just going to bypass the whole 'signing in' part of the event to search for Tony. If people didn't know who she was, it wasn't her fault.

Raven wasn't expecting any visitors, but then again, she hadn't expected any last year or the year before that. But her father was gone and Sebastian was stuck in another dimension, so she was only worried about her brothers showing up. She stayed to the edges of the picnic, keeping an eye out for them.

And maybe hoping, but not expecting, for her mother to come.

Now that she'd had her fun watching everyone's responses to their guests, Rosella figured her next task was figuring how how to catch up with Alexander and Cassima and yet still manage to avoid her mother. It meant a lot of moving around, and maybe engaging someone in some conversation to keep Valanice from butting in.

Annie didn't have anyone coming for her this weekend, which was more than a little depressing, which was why she wasn't thinking about it! No, she'd decided she was going to come to the picnic and see people and do things and not be depressed!

She got something to drink and stood a little off to the side, telling herself that no one that looked as potentially smiley as her couldn't look at all depressed. Or, you know, psychotic.

Ronan didn't have anyone coming for him, but he figured it couldn't hurt to get out and see some people. New friends were never a bad thing, after all, especially given the gene pool that produced most of Fandom Island.

They were a very pretty group of people, generally speaking, and pretty people came from somewhere.
