Jessica knew there were visitors to the island this weekend, and she was hoping Bill wasn't going to show up again. She was still mad at him for giving up on Sookie. If he loved her so much, despite the crummy things he'd pulled on her, then why wasn't he out looking for her?

On the other hand, if he brought he presents -- fit for a princess, of course -- she might be a little bit forgiving. Relationships with daddy vamps were so complicated.

For now, in the spirit of fall, she was making pumpkin martinis and Cape Codders.

Mr. Mulder at the picnic had mentioned that Caritas let teens in, so Melanie figured it was some sort of teen club, like they had in Seattle. She was pretty sure that Sam wouldn't want her cramping her iCarly style, tonight, so she headed out to go check it out.

"Hi. Do you guys have smoothies?"

Jack eyed Sam very carefully. "Shouldn't you be terrorizing someone right now?"

Melanie blinked at him, momentarily confused, then brightened. "Oh, hey, you must know Sam!"

Jack rolled his eyes. "Riiiiight. And who are you supposed to be? Her not-so-evil twin sister?"

"Well, yeah." Melanie shrugged. "I'm Melanie. Nice to meet you."

"Oh, okay 'Melanie'," Jack replied making finger quotes. "Let me guess. This goes on until I drop my guard and then you kick me in the crotch before the random dancing sign goes off."

Jack then turned around to address some non-existent cameras. "I know today is Friday! Don't even try to do a segment on me here!"

Melanie looked around, smiling slightly. This happened every time she met one of Sam's male friends. "Yeah, that's why I'm here. Sam wouldn't want me to interrupt them."

"Oh, I'm sure she wouldn't," Jack said with an eyeroll. "Look, just tell me where the pudding is?"

"Probably in the studio where they're taping tonight's show?"

"Like a frozen strawberry daiquiri or somethin' like that?" Jessica said. That was probably as close to smoothie as the bar had.

"I like strawberries. But I'm not 21 yet." Melanie was oh so very innocent.

"That doesn't matter around here," Jessica said with a shrug. "You can drink whatever you want."

The Devil's Nest was another story, but Caritas didn't card.

Melanie's eyes went a little wide. "Oh. Uh. Can I just get a fruit juice?"

So very, very innocent.

"I think we got some orange juice for screwdrivers," Jessica said, stepping back and peering under the bar. "Oh, and cranberry juice."

"Cranberry's good," Melanie decided. "With a little umbrella?"

"Comin' right up," Jessica grinned. She even sugared the rim of the glass to make it seem like a real cocktail, topped the drink with the umbrella, and set it down on a napkin in front of Melanie.

"Ooo, fancy! Thanks!"

Jack wandered in with his "family" in tow and pointed at Zoe ~~when she pings in~~.

"See her?" Jack said to the available bartenders. "She's not allowed to drink. At all. I've got two hundred dollars here if you keep it that way."

And then he took a seat. "Also, can I have a beer?"

Yep. Just a taaaaaad hypocritical there Jack.

"Anything at all?" Jessica said skeptically. "What if she wants a soda? Can I give her that?" It was best to clarify; she could use that two hundred dollars to go shopping.

"Nothing alcoholic," Jack clarified. "Soda, juice and water is fine by me."

"You got it," Jessica said, holding out her hand for the money. She was going to get paid in advance, thank you very much.

"Half now. Half when my dear sister leaves here sober as a judge," Jack said pushing one half of the amount over.

"Deal!" Jessica said, taking the hundred. She was already making plans for a shopping trip to the mainland, which was becoming easier now that it got darker earlier.

"And here's your beer," she said, sliding the bottle over.

"You'd think my brother would be cooler about that sort of thing," Zoe told him.

"Yeeeeeaaah, and when have I ever been cool?" Jack said back with an evil grin. "Sorry about your luck there, sis."

"So not fair," she decided. "And it's practically my vacation, too."

"Awww. Sorry to hear that," Jack said picking up his beer and taking a sip. "But there's no way I could let you punish your liver like this at your age."

And another sip. Mmmm. Good beer.

"Just a bit hypocritical, don't you think, Jack?" Henry joked as he signaled Tino for a drink.

Forgive me if I'm slow; I just scrubbed wax off walls, floors, counters, and a cat, and now I'm exhausted.
