Mary had turned in earlier than planned last night since it had been a long day. But in the morning, she returned to the lobby, refreshed and ready to face the day. She just wasn't ready to face another delivery of logs. And this time, the bell hops were nowhere to be seen when she needed them to take the logs outside. They were too heavy to move on her own, as she quickly learned. For once, she couldn't wait for Gunther to pester her once he was done in the kitchen.
