The book that Bo had lying out on the counter was the same copy of Hagridden: Unnatural Bedmates From Nightmare To Succubus she'd checked out of the FH library three months ago, and it hadn't changed contents between then and now aside from a few grape jelly fingerprints on the frontispiece that weren't, thank you, Bo's.

That wasn't stopping her from heading over between drink orders to study it like it might hold the secrets to life, the universe, and everything. After all, now that she had a few more clues where to look, it just might.

Bo blinking up from her book, took a second to register what the woman had said. "Um..."

(Her reaction would be more like gee, THANKS, Jack if she'd caught yesterday morning's radio, so perhaps it was lucky she hadn't, since um and some very wide eyes would make more sense to a weekend guest who also hadn't caught yesterday morning's radio.)

Bo poured a glass of what passed for a house red around here, and placed it carefully in front of the newcomer.

She was not at all impressed by his new plan to go to Jaina's galaxy and bring back a bright red flying car.

It was rude to keep a lady standing. He distantly remembered that from his childhood lessons on etiquette.

"Is that Pam?" Bo called over, and followed it up with her actual presence instead of shouting across the bar. "Tell her I've got some new library books she's welcome to be stern about. They're not actually overdue, but we can pretend."

She was not above flirting by tall, undead proxy, no, she was not.

"I'm not going to ask," Eric decided, dutifully typing all of that to Pam. While he waited for her to respond, he asked Bo, "Owning a flying car would be amazing, right? Not an impractical waste of money?"

Pam was being a fun killer.

Where your hostess is puzzling over the awesome pair of Bo-length (but not heeled) boots she just bought which both say 8W on the outside....but 7W on the inside of one and 11W on the inside of the other.

Yeah, I'll be heading back to Dot's tomorrow.

On the plus side, the 7W fits? I'm not sure I've ever worn a 7 in my life.
