Trooper Station- Friday

Audrey had spent her first couple days in town settling in, trying to find some routine to stick to, and found that that was hard to do when you got to town on Tuesday and didn't really start work until Friday. And of course today was the day of that carnival thing, which would be a good way to get to know the people better and see how insane this town really was, but when there was work to do, the work won out. Besides, if anyone had gone evil after graduation, she'd probably get called anyway. Probably. Maybe? She wasn't sure how this place worked like that.

So far her first day was being spent on her laptop, trying to put together a report to send back to Agent Howard. It wasn't going well. She'd gotten as far as a blank screen and had genuinely no idea how to put any of the things she'd heard so far into a report that wouldn't demand a psych evaluation.

What a way to spend your first day, huh? But the trooper station was open!

There was a small tradition Jamie had back when he was a student whenever a new member of the police force showed up.

He saw no reason not to continue that tradition today.

"Hello!" Jamie said cheerfully as he walked up to Audrey's desk. "Are you the police officer in charge? I'd like to report something stolen. It was very dear to me and I'd like to get it back."

"My virginity," Jamie answered with utter sincerity. "Don't laugh. I'd really like it back."

"Oh, thank you," Jamie said appreciatively as he started filling out the form. "Most of the police force has thrown me out by this point. I never even got a copy of a report so I've never been able to send it in to my insurance company."

"Oh your typical one I'd imagine," Jamie shrugged. "Mine's the one with the umbrella. Why? You think they won't recognize it?"

"Really?" Jamie asked looking downhearted. "Well clearly I need a good lawyer."
