Sorority Meeting, Gym, Tuesday After Classes

The sorority girls had been directed to gather in the gym today, where they were herded into a classroom and instructed to pick up a yoga mat. Some fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers were set out on a table along the back wall for snacks

"It's been a busy couple of weeks," Quinn said, once everyone was on a mat. "Homecoming, Halloween, the SATs ... so today, we're going to take it easy with a yoga class."

Yoga wasn't exactly a trend in World War I Canada, so Rilla was dressed as appropriately as she could be, which meant she'd taken her boots off but was still in a dress. "This is supposed to bring clarity and...bendiness, I suppose, to us," she said, sounding a little dubious. "And trying new things is always fun, right?"

"It's a nice workout," Quinn promised, tweaking her ponytail. "If you really can't do it or don't want to, get a snack and hang out."

And with that she stepped back so the yoga teacher could lead the class.

Get to the gym, claim a mat, be dubious about all of this...

Sov didn't know about yoga, but they saw no reason not to try. They chose a mat and sat down.

Mod your own poses and degree of flexibility.

It was actually more difficult than it looked, sometimes. And occasionally not as difficult. Sov didn't know what to make of this yoga, but realised they weren't that flexible.

Hanna could handle a little yoga, so she grabbed a mat and attempted to be more flexible.

Caroline was not quite as good at yoga as she was at zumba, so while she was flexible, she was a little bored with all the breathing.

And the focus.

And lack of talking. Ugh, anyone near her should avoid eye contact if they didn't want her to start blathering at them.

Mercy was a bit distracted by the toddler she had in tow, so there was more sitting with said toddler in her lap and keeping him from screaming or eating something he shouldn't than actual yogaing.

Angelica had never tried yoga before. She had a good amount of flexibility, but she was a little awkward and shaky with the poses at first.

Once they ping in!

Rilla was still a little confused about how this passed as exercise (and certainly wouldn't be writing to Jem, Ken or Jerry about it), but was eager to try it out.

Morrigan was there, if a bit dubious about all the bending.

Quinn wasn't normally a yoga person, but it was an easy workout for the wimps among them. She'd just be supplementing by trying to do the most complicated variations possible ... and occasionally falling on her ass.

She was there, anyhow.

Now I want to go to a yoga class. Is that weird?
