The Devil's Nest: Saturday, 26 November

Once again, Bo stood behind the bar with her head bent over her phone, this weekend. Even open to the same thing, though her Twitter page now no longer said @b00bsb00bsb00bs in giant embarrassing letters at the top. (It now said @msbojanglestoyou.)

This time, though, she was using her customer-free time to scan through the #portalocityfail and #fandomhigh tags for clues to what was happening out there, who was heading this way, and who'd gone missing.

Just a wee bit less amusing than it had been last week, though the weird kid with the mousetrap on her ass was good for a snicker.

"Whiskey," Guy said taking a seat at the bar. "The whole bottle."

Oh, someone was having a day.

Bo lifted an eyebrow. "Little bottle, big bottle, or I bought this at Sam's Club and have no shame or liver bottle?"

They didn't really have the last one; Eric wouldn't stoop that low.

"I don't want my liver anymore bottle." DON'T LIE TO HIM ABOUT IT'S EXISTENCE.

"Right." She went for the biggest that looked safe for humans (even with alien technology) to drink in one sitting, which was actually on the medium end of things. "Want a glass, too, or are you just gonna guzzle?"

Now a glass would be classy...

"I'm in the bottle mood unless you're askin' to share it."

"I think I'll stick with my not-for-the-ladies Doctor Pepper 10," Bo answered, placing the bottle in front of him with a clink. "This town doesn't need a drunk succubus on top of everything else that's going on."

Kenzi wandered in, and slapped down a few bills. "Something really sweet if you won't put booze in it. Yeesh. Hi. Don't leave the island."

"Have you reached the point where ice cream won't make you ralph, or should I be heading in the virgin margarita direction?" Sometimes Bo left herself open for the the obvious one-liners on purpose; this seemed like a day that people could use it. "And also hel-lo, yes, and what the hell were you doing with a giant rat?"

"Virgin bah! And can you even do that?" Kenzi asked, smirking slightly. "I was being menaced by the rat! Stalked! Threatened!"

"Was it in your room?" was kind of Bo's point. "Why were you around a giant rat?"

As for the virgin daiquiri question, she answered that by making one.

"Subway. Stupid, stupid, stupid Portalocity, which was supposed to send me and Topher directly to L.A.? Sent us to a subway somewhere that has rats that come up to here," Kenzi exaggerated, poking herself in the chest.

"Seriously, you took Portalocity anywhere?" Just see if Bo handed over that drink anytime soon. Lecture mode: ON. "Are you nuts? I know you've been following all that crap about them on Twitter; I've seen you bitching on the tag."

There were only so many people PerkiGoth could be; Raven dressed the part but didn't fit the personality, and Ramona... ahahaha no.

Give Bo a moment to realize she'd just revealed that she had an account.

So help him, after the one mouthful of Troy's pumpkin ale today, Jonothon found himself up and deciding that tonight was as good a night as any to just go for broke and get himself an actual drink.

"I have no idea what I want," he announced as he took a seat at the bar. "Normally I think I'd go with a good lager, but I think tonight is more the sort of night for something hideously cheap that burns going down. Suggestions?"

"...alien?" Guy had whiskey now. He was doing so much better.

OH WAIT. NOT REALLY.

"British," Jono clarified, raising an eyebrow at the ginger with the whiskey bottle.

It was a perfectly legitimate correction, damn it.

That ginger was goddamn allowed to drink his problems away!

Guy stared for a moment before grunting eloquently and taking another drink of his beloved bottle. "Close enough."

"Americans," Jono sighed, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. And then taking another look at the bottle. Whiskey. That was tempting, for that matter... "The universe decide to wind up and give you a swift kick in the arse by any chance, mate?"

Drinking straight from the bottle that way kind of suggested as much.

Bo was not going to make the attacking-a-black-and-white-milkman mistake twice. He talked like a normal person, looks aside, so she was going to assume he wasn't a leftover from the giant alien rock.

Unless he tried to bite her.

"Miller Light?" Badum-ching.

Jono wasn't all that big on biting, really. He had family history that involved poor relations with people that bit. He liked to think he was above that. While at the same time patronizing a bar that belonged to one such biting person.

And he'd appreciate not being attacked, for that matter.

"... Christ. I was actually hoping for something with a lower piss content, if at all possible."

Bo snorted. "Sorry - you should've specified. How does Jack Daniels sound? Not burny enough?"

Jono pursed his lips momentarily, and then shrugged.

"It'll do," he decided. "I think. I haven't been terribly big on drinking over these past few years, but I'll be sure to let you know if we're on the right track by getting more when I'm finished my first helping. How does that sound?"
