The Devil's Nest- Sunday
Days after visiting her grandfather, Susan was still mad. How dare he say he couldn't interfere! She was proof that he'd interfered plenty in the past. Why was this any different? And since then more people had gone, and it didn't look as if things would suddenly get better because things rarely did. And she did not like having no clue as to what to do about it. She didn't know if she had any skills that would help that she hadn't discovered yet, and it wasn't as if she could ask anyone about it, and this was all so very stupid.
Hmph.
The Devil's Nest was open, and the girl at the door was just as completely friendly as always, really!

The Door
Re: The Door
"You're new," Jaina noticed.

Re: The Door
It was even her real, GA-issued ID and everything! Feel special, Susan, most people saw the fake.
Re: The Door
Oh, you meant feel special because she saw the real ID. Susan could care less about that.
She looked over the ID, and while it wasn't one Susan had ever seen before, the woman was clearly over 21, so even if it was a fake, it wouldn't matter. "I somehow doubt that I'm the lucky one," she said, handing it over.

Re: The Door
Enough with the 'old enough' comments, all right?"Seriously?" Not that it probably mattered, since hi, sleeping with the boss and Tiny knew her usual, but still.
Re: The Door
If the shoe fits..."Almost always," Susan said with a nod.
Re: The Door
And your shoe has weird hair. This girl probably never got invited to parties. "At least no one can say you're not doing your job," Jaina said in the tone of voice that said someone needed to lighten up.
Re: The Door
That doesn't even make sense. Your narrative is p-a."It's a simple job. If I didn't, that would be pretty pathetic, don't you think?" said Susan.

He was now texting Pam, who was bitching at him about becoming codependent.
