The beach, Sunday Afternoon

Billy had only intended to go through a few sword katas when he came down earlier. But after seeing a large amount of driftwood, he instead spent much of the day setting up a bit of an obstacle course/training ground.

Now that it was done, he stripped to the wast, removed his shoes, and proceeded to treat the makeshift dummies as mortal enemies.

"So, this is what you do with your free time?" An amused look passed over Tori's face, as she admired Billy's handiwork. There was more or less a hello in there. Somewhere.

After all the losses he'd suffered recently, Billy could hopefully be forgiven for going for a hug when he saw Tori alive and well.

"Hey!" he cried happily. "You made it!"

Tori would never turn down a hug from Billy, therefore there was nothing to forgive.

"I did," she grinned, glad to see he was there, safe and sound. She'd seen the boards. It did not make her happy.

"A couple nights ago," Tori replied. "I had no idea anything was wrong." And she felt a bit guilty over that.

"Maybe it hadn't hit your world." Billy suggested. Or it had just been snatching up bits that she didn't notice.
