The Devil's Nest- Sunday

There was a part of Susan that thought it might be silly to bother coming in to work today, but as it turned out, she was just that sort of person who would go in even when the Auditors seemed to be doing pretty well at wiping out all of existence. The way she figured, people might feel the need to come in and drown their sorrows somewhere, and- while it wasn't even close to true- she had just enough of a superiority complex to believe that she was necessary to mark the hands of the underage in order for them to do that.

Or that was what she was telling herself to justify coming in and taking her mind off things for a little while. Whatever.

Bruce needed to get out. Not that he had any problems with staying inside and brooding and/or training for over a week with little if any contact with the rest of the world. He just knew that he'd be sharper if he relaxed just a little and gave himself a chance to recover from the week he put himself through.

It was with that in mind that he walked into the Devil's Nest. Social, but with music so he could try to ignore people if necessary. It was a compromise.

"Hello, Susan," he said. "I didn't realize you worked here."

Bruce held out his hand for the stamp. "Well, there goes my chance of drinking away all my troubles tonight," he deadpanned.

"I'd even vouch for you," Bruce said. "Especially since somebody showing up to work at all at a time like this is commendable."

"That's probably accurate," Bruce said. "Still, I almost expect that to start soon. At least you delayed it another day."
