The Perk [Tuesday Morning]
Sleep was a rare thing this week. A problem which Angela was treating with caffeine. Lots and lots of Perk-supplied caffeine. She probably wasn’t alone in that. With the clouds building outside the forcefield, blocking out everything the temptation was for something a little stronger than that. It was looking unlikely.
"Okay seriously? The world may be ending and you’re not going to give me a real Irish coffee?"
No, apparently not. It felt better to dwell on the little things rather than disappearing continents and the view from the window, all the same.
[[Open for all your perk-ly needs, work-related SP likely!]

"I hate that it's because of this, but sweetie am I glad to see you."

"Me, too, Ange. Oh, god, me too. I was hoping that I wasn't going to get a call or have to see your name on the wrong side of the board."

"There is. There's a board keeping track of the people or worlds that have disappeared and then another board keeping track of returning Fandom Alumni. Do you have a hotel room, yet? If not, you're staying with me at Sean and Annja's place."
Look, Savannah had lost three of her closest friends from Fandom that she knew of and she wasn't about to take the chance on Angela becoming the fourth.

Neither was the idea there was a board.

Anyone that would make Savannah even try to smile right now would be greeted with joy by Sean, Annja and Eve.
"Were there problems in your state or world before you got here?"

Angela hesitated, before finally getting out a "Who are we missing?" From the extent of things, she would hazard 'a lot', and almost didn't want to know.

"Johnny is gone," she finally managed to say. "He and is whole family and the New York that we were living in. I would have been taken, too, but Wyatt rescued me at the last moment."

"We'll get him back. You know we will." She'd be positive if it killed her. "Everything we've all been through, we always pull it back. I haven't been in yet, but I bet there's a whole school of people working on it."

"I haven't heard from Hannibal," she almost didn't want to know what she was about to ask. "Is he--" On the list. Finishing that sentence just wasn't happening.

Angela was going to try and take it that way, and nodded slowly. "Some worlds are just completely free of all this, aren't they? Maybe his is one of those." Maybe he had no idea anything was going on?
It didn't quash Angela's bad feeling about all this, but saying it helped somehow.
It was possible.

Savannah could be damn optimistic for a friend like this.
