Arms Hotel, Wedensday, 12/21

There was a reindeer in the middle of the hotel lobby. Quinn knew she should shoo it, but it was so cute with its clumsy footsteps and the lights in its antlers that she kind of wanted to take it home instead. She settled for taking plenty of pictures to show people in Lima once she got home.

She was flying -- emphatically not portalling -- out that night, after her shift ended, and her packed bag was stowed behind the counter.
