Pirate Radio Station [afternoon]

"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me," Jack sang under his breath as he wandered aimlessly through the station.

That song wasn't playing right now, but that had never really stopped Jack from singing before. He stopped at the small desk where the squirrels dropped notes off and began replenishing the rum bottles with a new (if slightly watered-down) stock of booze.

At no point did Jack find any of these activities strange. It probably meant he'd been here too long.

[OOC: Expecting one, but open!]

This morning Jaye had found a tiny little notebook on the ground. Personally, for something this small without anything written in it, she figured she didn't need to track down the squirrel it belonged to.

Because of course it belonged to a squirrel. Who else but a squirrel would carry a tiny notebook?

If it hadn't been all the prodding from her damn purse, she definitely wouldn't have made her way down to the station with the book, calling, "Hello?" since she didn't know exactly how the schedules worked here anymore.
fates_jaye: (suck (not dirty))

Jaye totally looked to her right.

"...Well now I want to do one for fun," she said, frowning.
fates_jaye: (talking at the bar)

"I'm thinking they're just not real," she said. "Know why? Because squirrels only eat nuts and rum, everyone knows that."
fates_jaye: (buh?)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"I thought that's what they did with old notes." What, it made sense- "Do squirrels even make nests?"
fates_jaye: (for i am jaye)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, yeah, I'm not new," she said. "I'm Jaye. Tyler. I was kind of a big deal around here."

Maybe in 2007.
fates_jaye: (normal)

"Uh huh. For like two years," she said. "It was before your time, I guess."

"It was probably Fandom weirdness," Jaye stated.
fates_jaye: (eep?)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
She eyed him, suspicious-like. "What kind of trade?"
fates_jaye: (you get my suspicious face)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"...No. Weirdest come-on ever, by the way," she said.
fates_jaye: (you worry me)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Jaye looked slightly weirded out, then reached into her purse and pulled out a bottle of rum.

"I was told to," she said, like she was worried about being judged or something, rather than a fake animal telling her to do something like this.
fates_jaye: (simple)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"What, just like that?" she checked. "Rum for radio, that's how it works now?"
fates_jaye: (checking you out)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I guess..." she said. There was this responsibility theme going lately. It was freaky. "Wait, do I get paid then?"
fates_jaye: (i'm with a customer)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Need any help?" she asked, with the tone of someone who was really hoping he'd say no because ugh, helping people voluntarily.
fates_jaye: (up to no good)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Way to perk her up, Jack. "Are you sure? Because I really don't mind..."
fates_jaye: (expectant)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-10 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"Can I watch?"

See what you did?
fates_jaye: (way cute)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-11 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
"A selfless one?"
fates_jaye: (disappointed)

[personal profile] fates_jaye 2012-01-11 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
"Can't blame a girl for trying," she shrugged.
