Annie hadn't wanted to come in today. Actually, she hadn't wanted to get out of bed or leave her room. There'd been a sliiiight freakout over some of the things she'd done this weekend and she was sort of hoping that if she hadn't looked anything like herself, no one would know it was her and she could die of shame and embarrassment in peace.

So she was here. In a turtleneck that made sure that absolutely zero cleavage was showing. And occasionally she would pop another breath mint because she didn't care, she'd smoked all weekend and she still felt gross. And what exactly did you tell the people at NA meetings when you'd spent the weekend mostly entirely trashed and it wasn't really you?
