The Perk, Tuesday Morning, Feb. 14
Quinn had taken her pre-calc homework from her dorm room to the coffee shop. Maybe it was just that it was Valentine's Day, but being in her bedroom today made it way too easy to slip into involved daydreams focusing on her bed. Then she started speculating about her desk, and that was just ... no. It wasn't going to help her get to the midpoint in her online course before spring break, and that was her entire goal for this week.
She got a skinny mocha and bent over her textbook, trying to concentrate on polynomial functions and not on how hot the black-haired punk barista was or how the Prince album playing over the store stereo was incredibly sexy.
Focus today might be a losing battle.
[OOC: Open coffee shop, natch.]

"Good morning, Quinn," he said. "Trying to get some work done?"
[OOC: I don't have access to my computer during lunch, so RP is relatively productive for the next half hour! I hope you don't mind SP after that.]

Not that Bruce and his hotness really helped with the impure thoughts problem. She indicated the chair across from hers anyhow.
"Having a productive day?"

He didn't know how that explained the heat in the cave or here in the Perk, but it was easy to miss small details at the moment.

She stretched, arcing her back. "I haven't gone for a run yet today."

A pause. "Oh! Thank you for the flowers."

She tilted her head to the side. "I'd be curious to meet the girl who could make you mean it."
Dammit, she should not want to flirt.

"Are you sure? You don't even want us to sport a couple of small scars or something?" Bruce asked.

And now Quinn had a very pleasant mental movie for the rest of the day.

"Okay, I should probably get going. Maybe it's a little better in the dorms now," Bruce said. Probably not. But he couldn't really talk to Quinn for too much longer without doing something regretful.
no subject
It was probably better he went before either of them did something they'd regret.

"Hi ya! Condom samples, courtesy of the Anarchist Philanthropist Club!"

Did it count if her boyfriend could? ... probably not, since he wouldn't tell on Quinn.

"... even if lately he's been hiding out with video games a lot."
Or something like that. But, hey. At least this time Quinn was pretty certain it wasn't juvie.
"Don't tell me you slept your way through your floor."
No, that was Rebecca.no subject

Not that hanging around in bed all day sounded that bad. Like, at all.
... great. She was daydreaming again.

"Distractions. Music. DVD's. Romance novels. Clothes. Toys!" She beamed at Quinn. She was helpful like that.

The math seemed to be a lost cause.

"I know the medical reasons for that but it is not a mental image I needed," she said. "Thanks."

That was revenge. She didn't want to think about Kenzi when she was doing boyfriend-girlfriend stuff, and she doubted the converse was an aphrodisiac for Kenzi either.
no subject
She still had meatballs stockpiled somewhere. Ha!

Being annoyed with Kenzi promised to be a more distracting way to spend her workday than pre-calc.
