Dite's Decadent Delights, Monday Afternoon
Karla was often surprised by random deliveries when she walked into work on Mondays. Snowglobes, new supplies, giant metal chickens... Usually when she found herself in the middle of a surprise shipment of new stock, her emotions ranged from confused to flabbergasted to simply resigned.
Today, however, she opened the door to a new shipment of what appeared to be naughty games and romantic movies and simply smiled. 'Dite was back on the island. Things were just a little bit better in her world.
And the muffled thump-thump-yowl of a cat somehow managing to upend an entire box of DVDs on his head?
Yep. That was normal, too.

Talk to Karla
Re: Talk to Karla
Unless Karla wanted to keep him at the store? She'd have to ask.
As she came in the door, she was muttering.
"A cock on the porch . . . either I'm going soft or it's beginning to be funny to me."
Re: Talk to Karla
"It's hilarious!" Karla called back, from where she was lugging a box. "And full of whimsy!"
Re: Talk to Karla
She didn't even want to think of what Kenzi might come up with as a name for that . . .thing.
Re: Talk to Karla
She dove under the counter and came up with a handful of papers, all of which had names on them.
"Would you like a chance to vote for a name before I announce the winner?" she asked, offering 'Dite the stack.
Re: Talk to Karla
Give her a minute. Give her a minute . . .
And then she started laughing. "You had a contest . . ." and dissolved into giggles.
Darn it, Karla, you broke your employer again.

She still felt a little twitchy coming into the store, but she knew she'd find Karla there. "Karla?" she called out as she slipped inside.
Re: Talk to Karla
And because she couldn't help it, added, "Watch out! There's a small craft advisory!"
Re: Talk to Karla
They were rainbow jello addicts.

"And then, yes, we sang. We chose a song at random." Blush.

At least not with someone around to stop her from projecting once she got tipsy.

Which meant that a) yes, she'd insanely overestimated even vampiric stamina, and b) the rest of them were in Wales now. Because when she'd said, "Oh, I forgot my--" with a portal waiting in the back garden, and George had offered to fetch whatever it was... Yeah. You're welcome for that "Never mind" and the continued existence of your boyfriend's brain, Nina.
So, shopping.
Also, "Nice cock," because it was kind of a moral imperative to say as she walked in.
Re: Talk to Karla
And was almost the same height as Karla!
"Welcome to 'Dites!"

Um.
"Um. Hi?"
Re: Talk to Karla
'Dite knew what she was. And the last one she'd met . . .
Re: Talk to Karla
Huh. She was willing to bet neither of them were paying much attention to her.
