The Playground, Saturday Afternoon

Billy thanked whatever force controlled things in Fandom for the nice weather. Ana and Tommy had been cooped up in various motel rooms for the last few days. And while Tommy didn't seem to be of an age yet to care, Ana was going stir crazy.

So he was glad to be able to take her to the park and let her run amok.

[The Playground is of course open to all your childreny needs. Ana would love to make new friends too.]

Ana had never seen a playground before, but it seemed like some things were instinctual for kids. She couldn't decide what to try out first, finally deciding on the swings.

She sat down and waited. Nothing happened.

Billy had never lost track of where Ana was, but he did take his eye of her briefly to take off the backback that was carrying his son.

Tommy for his part was gazing around in what Billy supposed was interest.

"Hey Ana you want some help there?"

Ana bit her lip. She was caught between her desire to figure this out, and her delight at the teamwork she and her father had been using so far.

"Yes but only till I can do it myself." she said finally.

Tommy was currently wriggling on his back, on a blanket spread in the grass. Billy picked him up, cradling him in the crook of one arm, while giving Ana a gentle push with his other hand.

Was there a ninja technique about juggling two kids?

After a few pushes, Ana figured out that kicking her legs would propel her back and forth. And with growing momentum, she was able to go higher and higher.

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

Billy kept smiling, though his smile got strained the higher she went.
