The Devil's Nest, Saturday Evening, 3/31

Bo's Friday night had not involved drinking or dancing (though there was a bit of watching other people do the second and pretending she couldn't smell that they'd been doing the first unless they started being stupid about it), and her Saturday morning had not involved waking up with anyone in her bed besides a glow-in-the-dark rubber duck.

...It got caught in the towel after her bath last night, shut up.

She also hadn't been here for the last Prom.

All of which added up to a clueless, but at least un-hungover succubus behind the bar tonight, maybe a little nostalgic for a life she'd never finished, but not too unhappy with the one she had now, all told.

Which meant you got cleavage and a smile unless you were a DJ feeling the need to play the best of the freaking Eurythmics over the Devil's Nest sound system, is basically what we're saying.

"Bo!" Guy was dragging a teenage boy along with him into the bar. Because he had been trying to hit on Tiny.

What the shit.

"Is one of these yours?" Tyrion asked Guy. "I left mine at home. Probably oughtn't have bothered."

Yeah, so Ellie could have used her telepathy to track down Vlad before going to find Aunt Bo, but- eh. He'd show up sooner or later.

In the meantime, time to bounce over and offer a hello to Bo, who looked- exactly the same as she had the last time Ellie had seen her. Fae biology for you there.

"Can I get a drink?" Sure, the place didn't serve drinks to minors in her time, but... maybe it was different back in the dark ages?

Christopher slumped into a seat by the bar. Stupid Fandom. What use was learning how to tell people they didn't need to see his identification if it never worked where it mattered?

He scrubbed at the mark on his hand and ogled discretely ogled the bartender, who looked a lot like someone his dad still worked with.

Weird.

Seeing the mark-scrubbing, OJ asked, "Think we can scrub this off in the bathroom?"

Look, no one in their right mind would serve him, but he at least wanted to try looking cool.

"Should have done it while the ink was still wet," Maria advised, eyeing Christopher. "Not that it'd've mattered. Pretty sure she'd remember you in a crowd this small."

Technically, Jaye had sent OJ out for pizza. Because who wanted to pay a delivery fee when you had someone to run out and get it for you? But if she was going to use him as a delivery service, he didn't see anything wrong with finding someplace else to hang out for a while. Even if he didn't have ID. What thirteen-year-old did, really?

He sat himself down in a seat and greeted the bartender with a, "How you doin'."

You're not cool, OJ.

"Smooth," Maria commented. So, so very dryly. "Really."

So, Maria? Not a drinker. Kind of hard to be, if you had her dad. No, the other one.

But unlike her fathers, she did know when enough was enough when it came to lab work and when it was time to get some air. Which brought her to the Devil's Nest, where she drummed her fingers on the bar and peered around.

"Can I get a Coke, please?" she asked.

Yeah. Manners, too. At least sometimes. Wonder where those came from.

"Bo. Bo. Bo." Kenzi's calls were very very insistent. "C'mere. I need alcohol, and so do you."

Vlad hung back behind her. Smirking.

"Good luck with that," advised Maria, who was now entertaining herself by drawing possible gauntlet schematics on a napkin.

Yeah, eventually she had to give up on messing with Bo. "Mom!" And Mini-Vlad, which was still weird. "Vlad. See you found her after all."

Tyrion had left Joanna at home: For one, she needed her sleep, and for another, he might have been an absent father but he still wasn't taking a maid of 14 years to an alehouse.

Looking over the crowd in the bar, he decided he'd misjudged that. If he felt up to the walk later, he might go get the girl.

"It looks as if I'm not the only one to get a new heir today."

Eric was there with his glass of blood, looking far too amused by the proceedings at the bar.

No children for him this weekend, thank you.
