JGOB, Monday Late Afternoon

It was almost time for the children to go again, or so they had informed Stark.

Being Stark's, they also informed him that travel via portal made them very hungry and they would probably need something to eat before they left. Preferably something cupcake-shaped. And cupcake-flavored. And Stark, being Stark, was hardly going to refuse them such a reasonable request.

This was why Stark and his glowy son and blue daughter found themselves sitting at a table in JGOB with an assortment of cupcakes in front of them.

[Open, of course. And they'll totally share.]

"You don't have to look so sad, Papa," Ziya said softly. "You'll see me again."

"And me!" Glitz piped up around a mouthful of cupcake. "You'll see me and Daddy and giant robots and Uncle Anders and all sorts of fun stuff and it'll be fun!"

It was hard to stay sad in Glitz's company. That was clearly from Bridge's side of things.

"If I am very lucky I will see both of you again," Stark agreed. "And other 'fun stuff' as well."

"You will be lucky," Ziya assured him.

"You're already lucky!" Glitz added. "So'm I. Because I get cupcakes!"

"Yes you do," Stark said. It really was hard not to smile at the boy. "And and yes you are."

"You can take the rest of them with you."

"You're my favorite!" Glitz announced. His favorite was generally whichever parent happened to be in front of him at the time.

"It's time to go," Ziya said, reaching for her share of the cupcakes. "We need to go to the park."

"Already?" Stark had been hoping for more time. It seemed to him that he was always hoping for more time with people. He never seemed to get it. "Are you sure?"

"Sorry, Papa," Ziya said. "Yes. I'm sure."

"Gotta go home to Daddy!" Glitz agreed.

Stark nodded, and followed them out the door.
