Jon had placed an order a few weeks back for some horseshoe crabs for Momoko, like he said he would.

And order for 2. Less than three, more than one. How someone got 20 out of two, was beyond him, but now he had 18 juvenile horseshoe crabs to find homes for.

So now there was a sign on the door:

Free Horseshoe crabs to good homes

Hey, the crabs were free, the habitats were not.

For the record, horseshoe crabs end up from 24cm to 60cm. (C. rotundicauda is the size of a human hand, while L. polyphemus can be up to 60 centimetres (24 in) long (including tail). ).

Momoko totally endorses horseshoe crab mamma-hood! Especially if there's no chance of them suddenly turning into naked roommates.

Also, your cat won't eat them!
