The Perk, Saturday Noon
The SPA had finally gotten 'round to mailing Sarah their lesson plans for her current workshop. And – shock, horror! – this Saturday was turning out boring so far, so Sarah was actually reading them. At the Perk, as you do, because anything the SPA had to say was usually best taken with a big dose of something that helped. Right now, she was being sensible, so that was a large cup of black coffee.
There was also a note in there about going to visit one of the offices of the United Capes of America on the mainland about a guest speaker, sometime in the next few weeks. Because sure, she wanted random American superheroes in her class. Sarah was rolling her eyes pretty hard at that.
Mostly, though, she was having a bit of fun by using her powers to turn one of the coffee machines off every time the barrista turned his back on the thing. (He'd been rude to her once. She felt he deserved this, and it wasn't like she was hurting him, or anything.) So far, he hadn't clued to why it kept getting turned off. Guess there was just enough background noise to cover up her electronic voice.
She stifled a snicker when he frowned at the machine again and tried banging at its side a bit.
