It had been a far less dramatic weekend than the last, and Ender was grateful for it. In fact, he'd enjoyed the time not spent worrying about someone's health quite profusely, thank you. Tony might still be in bandages, but he'd heal up. And as far as being electrocuted went, this bout hadn't been as bad on Ben as the last.

Of course, the quiet meant that Fandom had to step in and balance the scales eventually.

It took Ender great effort to open up the door to the store that morning. The floor was literally covered in layers upon layers of blueberries. They colored Ender's shoes blue as he tried to wade on through to get to the counter.

Never mind getting a broom to fix this mess. He was going straight down the back and looking for something mechanical to make it happen.

Ben gave the door a healthy shove when he arrived. "Ho, kreet--ew," he trailed off.

"Stop complaining and help me out back here," came the order from the back.

"Did you turn on a blueberry cloning device or something?" Ben asked, squishing his way to the back of the store.

"I think it's just the island acting up again," Ender said.

His shoes - and part of his pants - were soaked in blueberry juice. He was tinkering on something that looked like a very large vacuum cleaner. "I've almost got this."

Ben took a moment to appreciate the view for a second--Ender looked a little ridiculous--before asking, "How can I help?"

"Help me finish this up," Ender said, gesturing to the device, "We'kk do a better job moving it around the shop if there's the two of us, too."

"Especially when one of us has telekinesis," Ben offered.

"Which you didn't use to get here, I see," Ender said, then motioned him over.

Ben chuckled. "Seemed like a bit of a show-offy move."

"I'm not doing your laundry this week," Ender said. Then he leaned in and started poking around at a bit with his screwdriver.

"But you have the good fabric softener," Ben replied.

"Forget it," Ender said. "Check the release, will you?"

Ben grinned and checked the release. "Looks good."

"All right, then I think we're done," Ender said, giving the giant vacuum - with a direct tube connecting it to the waste disposal - a critical once-over. "Want to give it a shot?"

"So I end up covered in blueberries if it doesn't work?" Ben teased. "Sneaky, sneaky, Wiggin."

He didn't have the slightest doubt whatever Ender had rigged together would work.

"Again," Ender said, "I'm not doing your laundry, Skywalker. Less whining, more vacuuming."

"I get half of your paycheck for this, right?" Ben said, firing up the contraption.

Ender snorted. "If you do it well, you can have all of it for this week," he said.

"Best boyfriend ever," Ben teased.

"I don't need the money," Ender said, "And if you run out of ice cream allowance, we all suffer."

"I'm not that bad," Ben insisted, probably wrongly. "I'm not going to want blueberry anything for a while, at least."

"Stop stalling and try the vacuum," Ender said.

[momslilassassin]

"Yes, Admiral," Ben teased, turning the machine on and starting to suck up all the blueberries.

Ender took a glance back at where the vacuum itself became a tube became the waste disposal. "So far, so good," he noted. "Though I have no idea if we can handle this much trash."

"Well, if it starts being a problem, tell me before we refill the workshop with blueberries, okay?" Ben replied.
