28 Sphinx Street, Wednesday Evening
After her visit to the detention center, Savannah bypassed her usual haunts and patrols and went right home. Once she was through the door, she set up the spells that were keyed to only her and Angela and then went right to the bathroom to be very sick. When she had emptied everything out of her system that wanted to come out, she cleaned her face and brushed her teeth.
Her visits to the detention center and what she had to do to keep up her cover always rattled her, but it had been so much worse today. Of course, that probably had something to do with the fact that Sean wanted to kill her and she had to pretend to torture her own mother.
Changing out of the pink and black outfit and into something more her own style, Savannah went into the living room to sit on the couch.

A couple of large mugs of coffee in hand, she wandered in from the kitchen to offer one to Savannah. It wasn't the best way to drown sorrows, but it was a start. "I almost missed you come in." That wasn't entirely typical.

"I didn't want to bother you." Savannah's voice was soft as she stared into the cup and then looked up at Angela's eyes, sorrow in her own. "Eve said I was no longer her daughter."

Instead, she just took a seat on the couch beside Savannah, her free hand brushing the other girl's arm in some kind of comfort. "Bothering me is not something you should even be thinking of." Especially after a day like that.

Now Savannah crumpled. "And I would never, never want to hurt you like that Angela."

She shook her head, trying so hard not to break down the way she probably needed to.

She knew full well that she could do absolutely nothing if their carefully constructed lie fell apart at the wrong moment.

"The resistance is planning on a full scale attack on the detention center on Saturday."

"Is there anything we should be doing?" she asked after a moment or two.

"Angela, I don't know what is going to happen on Saturday. I don't know if our side is going to finally succeed or if we'll end up all being killed. There's something ..." She took a deep breath. "There's something that I need you to do for me."
no subject
"Something like... what?" she pressed, despite her better judgement.

She swallowed. "If you don't hear from me in twenty-four hours... I want you to call Benecio and tell him what happened. His number and two letters are in my nightstand."

This whole thing smacked of a goodbye in a way that she was not quite willing to take straight off. "By 'anything we should be doing?', I was thinking something to help us win, not... to plan for defeat." Not that Angela wanted to fight, as such, but she felt like there had to be something she could do that wasn't abandon

Savannah, Angela loved you. She wasn't going to let you sacrifice yourself to protect her.

"I'm not going to be out there beating people with chairs, or... whatever else. But I can wrap a bandage or distract the hell out of someone just great."
