Magic Box, Monday

Quite honestly, there normally wasn't much to do at the Magic Box. It wasn't like Surreal got many customers, and the others tended to keep a sharp eye on inventory and making displays.

And since she was bored...Surreal had grabbed the small tv from the back room and had it set up on the counter. At the very least, she should be able to find something to mock.

Imagine her glee to find an entire television station playing little movies about fish eating people! This was possibly better than trying to navigate the youtubes! She didn't need 'keywords' or things!

Now to find where Tara stashed the snacks this week...

Well, if Surreal wanted something to do at the store...

"...are those idiots trying to play with sharks?" Smooth, Cara.

"Sharks!" Surreal had finally given in and was eating the jerky out of her own supply of snacks instead of stealing someone else's stash. "I had never seen a shark before. They're real, I assume?"

"Real enough," Cara replied, moving next to Surreal so she could get a better look at the screen. "Apparently they're less dangerous if you're smart enough to leave them in peace."

According to this show, it looked like that was a pretty big 'if'.

"All you'd have to do is stay out of the water," Surreal agreed. "It doesn't seem like they'd be able to go on land."

"Not that I'm aware of." Of course, it wasn't like she was a fisherwoman either, so she could be wrong. Cara titled her head at a video. "It's like they want to get eaten."

"Do we have sharks here? Because I think I'm in love with a fish." Surreal was fascinated. "I could spend all day watching them eat morons."

She was, however, considerate, so she held out her bag of dried meat for Cara to share. "I can think of a few people who might benefit from swimming laps with them."

"I don't think there's any on the island" Cara said, being blissfully unaware of the island's planned weirdness for the week. "But I could probably add a few to your list."

And if she leant across to try and steal a kiss in addition to the jerky, well she could make up an excuse about it only being polite, but it was mostly because she wanted to.

Stealing kisses was fine as far as Surreal was concerned, especially as she hadn't ever actually enjoyed kissing someone before. This? She enjoyed this - and Cara - quite a bit.

"No seducing me at work, sugar," she teased, trying to hold the jerky out of reach just to be a brat. "I have to earn my wage!"

By watching sharks. Yes.

Oh no, a ready made reason to try and pull Surreal (and her jerky) closer. How terrible.

"If I was doing that, we'd already be in the back room," Cara teased back. Someone was very sure of herself there, yes. "Instead of watching idiots getting snacked on by sharks." Which was also surprisingly enjoyable.
