Yes, Eric had people to handle things like his laundry.

Yes, knew that mixing whites and a new red shirt would end in disaster.

Or at least he did now.

He'd just have to buy a whole new....lot of things. But for now, welcome to an impromptu Shirtless Night at the Devil's Nest.

If Jaina was going to be back on Earth already, she was of course going to try to see Eric since it'd been forever, even if she didn't have an actual thing to ask about.

Aaaaand of course that was on shirtless night. Not that she was complaining.

"All this for me?" she asked.

"Yes," Eric said. "This was 'Remind Jaina Solo What's She's Missing' Night. Drinks are half price just for you."

"You definitely know how to make a girl feel special," she smiled, and if you thought you were getting out of this without a hug, Eric, you were mistaken.

Eric hugged her back. "Welcome back."

"Thanks," she said as she let go. "I'm back for a while, too."

"A week or so?" Eric asked.

"A semester or so," Jaina corrected.

Eric grinned. "Really."

"Figured I'd give teaching another go, distract myself by turning into various things on the island's whims, you know," she said with a little smile back.

"Let me see you as a kitten," Eric finished for her.

"I have no control over that," she said immediately. "And I haven't been one in years. I think I'm cured."

Ahahahahaha.

"I can dream, can't I?" Eric asked.

"That's a weird dream," she told him.

"I'm a thousand years old. I've already done most of the normal dreams."

"Fine," she said. "If I turn into a kitten again, I'll find you."

And then he'd be stuck taking care of her because she wasn't leaving.

"I'll put you into my very favorite coffee mug," Eric promised.

"Neeeeever should have told you about that," Jaina sighed.

"Nope," Eric said, looking smug.

"Just for this, you have to answer next to my next question," she said.

"And what's the next question?" Eric asked.

"Are you hiring?"

A girl had to keep herself busy and repressing somehow. Multiple jobs ought to do it.

Eric smiled. "I am, actually. You're not secretly a werewolf, right? My last two employees are."

"...Not last I checked. If that's a requirement now, I take my question back," she said.

"Definitely not," Eric said. "Welcome aboard. Don't break Tiny's heart."

"You know, that shouldn't be a problem," Jaina smiled.

Dear Eric, Kate would never have made that mistake. I'm just saying.

Though mostly I'm commenting because I HAVE NEW SHIRTLESS ICONS YAY.
