Stiles initially came to the park to practice some lacrosse moves (he had some, yes) but that all quickly fell by the wayside when he came across a kitten in a ball. He wasn't much of a cat person in general but he made an exception for this badass cat. He chased around the lacrosse ball and was perfectly happy chilling in the pockets of Stiles' hoodie, that made him badass!

He will be named Baron Meowface von Whiskers. That seemed like an awesome name.

Not far from Stiles, someone else was dealing with a tiny fuzzy animal in the park. Unfortunately, said fuzzy animal was a bit more hyper than his current caretaker could really deal with.

"Okay, slow down," Topher pleaded, hurrying after the puppy on its very important mission to find the source of the kitty noises. "Come on, some squirrel's gonna eat you or something, at least let me keep up with-- oh hey, it's Stiles."

The puppy stopped walking and peered up at Stiles, tail wagging.

"I found a puppy," Topher explained.

"I found a kitty," Stiles said, gesturing towards the fuzzy little kitten face that was poking out of his hoodie pocket. "Was yours stuffed in a ball too?"

[dollpocalypse]

"Yup," Topher confirmed, as his puppy tried its best to climb up Stiles' leg to meet the possible new kitty friend. He probably wouldn't have much success. "I thought the ball was going to be one of Ace's explosives. But no."

It was a little disappointing.

"You're lucky yours just stays."

"Well now you've jinxed it!" Because Baron Meowface von Whiskers was quickly scrambling out of Stiles' pocket and clawing his way up the hoodie to get away from the puppy. "Ow, ow, ow sensitive skin right there!"

Hey now, Baron Meowface, the puppy just wanted to be your friend, god!

"Okay, okay, maybe enough with the trying to use Stiles as a rock wall," Topher decided, moving to pull the dog off of Stiles. "He is... a person, and... not a wall, so... stop that."

This was probably why none of his AU kids respected him.

Once he had the puppy back under control, Topher offered, "Okay, well, that was educational."

"I think he got my nipple," Stiles said, putting a hand over his chest and wincing. The Baron didn't seem to care, perfectly happy to be perched on Stiles' shoulder. "Suddenly I remember why I'm a dog person."

[dollpocalypse]

"...Ow." Topher took a moment to touch his hand to his own chest at that, picturing it and sympathizing. "Yeah, cats are mean. Broca was just trying to say hi."

Apparently that was the puppy's name now.

Karolina had just gone into town for a very quick grocery store run. But she hadn't even made it to the store yet and there were already four puppies following her. Four.

Opening those weird little balls was compulsive after the first one had produced fuzzy cuteness, see.

"Hey," she said, approaching Stiles, puppies in tow. "Uh, do you know if there's like an animal shelter or something in town?"

"Um...I think there's a pet store but I'm not sure about an animal shelter," Stiles said. Baron Meowface had been attacking a lacrosse ball but immediately ran to climb up Stiles' leg when he saw the puppies. "Owwwwwwwww..."

Aww, but these puppies were so well behaved! They just pawed gently at Karolina's ankles now that she'd stopped walking. Well, one of them tried padding over to Stiles because moving things like kitties were interesting.

Of course, then it got distracted by the lacrosse ball.

Karolina gave the kitten an empathetic look. "Oh, poor thing's scared of the puppies."

"Yeah, I think the whole cat versus dog hatred is instilled from birth," Stiles said, wincing a little as Baron Meowface clawed his way into his hoodie pocket. "I hope one day they can sign a peace treaty and live together in harmony."

"You wouldn't think they'd know that from birth," Karolina mused, glancing down at her feet where one of the puppies was trying to gnaw on her shoe. She shook it off gently. "It's kind of sad if they do."

Yeah Karolina kind of had 'hippie' written all over her.

"If there's no shelter, do you think they're eventually gonna go back where they came from? I don't know if I can take care of this many animals for long."

"I hope so, my roommate doesn't really seem like a cat person." Cade didn't seem like a person at all really. Just some strange horny alien with tattoos. "At least there's animal shelters off island?"

Was that Derek walking by with the cutest goddamn entourage of puppies chasing along after him? Why yes, yes it was! He looked so angry about it too. This was his 'why does life hate me?' face.

IT'S ADORABLE.

It was adorable, and Stiles couldn't help but comment upon it to the kitten sitting on his shoulder. "Aww, look Baron Meowface, Derek's got himself a little family!"

STILES. HE WILL MURDER YOU. THERE WILL BE MURDERING.

Derek froze, glaring at him. And those puppies? Oh, they stumbled into him. Adorably so. One even tried to take this as its chance to claim Derek's foot as a bed.

"Oh my god, that is so adorable I should take pictures."

The kitty didn't think it was too adorable judging from the way he was hissing at Derek and the puppies. The cat didn't like your dog stink, Derek.

At least he didn't smell like a teenager!

"I will rip your arms off if you try," Derek informed him.

"You'd rip my arms off in front of your puppy children?" He was asking to be punched, he knew that. "Some parent you are."

Pinkie was absolutely delighted by all her new tiny fuzzy friends, and was trotting through the park with a bounding hoard of them, singing a fully orchestrated and choreographed impromptu song about how the cowpoke and the farmers puppies and the kittens should be friends.

She waved a hoof at Stiles and called out a cheerful hello to Stiles as they passed. Yes, greeting him was a fully integrated part of the song. That was just how Pinkie rolled.

That was never not gonna be weird. Stiles gave Pinkie Pie a wave and wondered why his cat didn't do that.

The wonders of cartoon physics, Stiles. You wished you had Pinkie's mad world bending abilities.

Pinkie waved him over to come dance with her. It was entirely possible she didn't understand that most humans didn't HAVE world bending abilities.

Stiles was being asked to dance. With a pony and a herd of puppies and kittens.

Yeah even he didn't have the brain capacity to handle that.

"Oh no thank you! I'm just dandy right here. Not dancing."

Lucky for Stiles, harassing him until he agreed didn't fit into the song. She did wrap it up with a flourish of puppies and kitties doing tiny, adorable waltzes together, then paused for applause and trotted on over.

"I just wish Derek was here! He could use a little singy-dancey pick-me-up!"

"You are right, he defintely could," Stiles said with a nod. "I did see him with a herd of puppies earlier, it was adorable."
