Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, Friday
Today was Alec's seventeenth birthday, and he was celebrating it by continuing to fail to get his iPod to work.
Really, there was no excuse for not being able to figure it out at this point. Victor had loaded it up with music a few days ago, and had shown Alec how to turn it on last weekend, so at this point any further incompetence was probably a sign that Alec would forever be a helpless little lamb in all matters relating to technology. Which made sense. He wasn't going to question that. He just sighed, put the device back in his pocket with the resigned air of someone who'd just been defeated by a small piece of metal, and went about his work.
What he was going to question, as he puttered around the store arranging archery equipment, was why there was a row of chocolate arrows arranged on the front desk. He wasn't going to eat them, obviously. He was just concerned.
