Karla was not best pleased to have to wade through some kind of pitched street battle between little red elephants and tiny blue donkeys. They were literally butting heads with one another right in front of the restaurant today and whenever she drew close enough, they'd stop what they were doing and make all kinds of noise to try and get her to side with one group over another.

Ugh, it was worst than dealing with squabbling children, it really was.

Finally getting into Cafe Luke's, Karla saw that most of the staff were huddled around a TV, watching as polling numbers were being reported. "You guys know that you have hours until the polls close, right?" she checked. Their only response was to hush her, so Karla just shook her head and retreated to her office. She was very tempted not to come out until the election was called.
