The Park, Wednesday Afternoon
Okay, look. Contrary to popular belief, April didn't actually feel completely apathetic about everything. She liked some things. Like violent movies. And doing her nails. And booze. And her dog, Cliff. And human rights. You know, stuff like that.
What that meant on this particular afternoon was that April was in a pretty good mood as she took Cliff through the park. It also meant that her 'I Voted' sticker was still stuck to her jeans, since she'd been up ridiculously late last night watching TV and hadn't noticed yet.
Whatever. Cliff wasn't judging, neither should you.

Or something. Whatever, they were both adorable.
"Hey," April said, grinning a little despite herself when she spotted Lucky. "Cute dog."

Lucky, for his part, was content to sniff at Cliff and then settle down back next to Clint. He was kind of lazy that way.

"Guy, right?" she checked. Meaning Clint's name, not Lucky.

And here she'd had no idea this island had evil twins or prostitutes!

meta forAnnie crap," April recalled. "Well, sucks about his face. And the whole ginger thing, that has to look weird on you."That was totes a compliment.

Cliff just looked at her in encouragement of the scratching that was going on.

She shrugged. "How about yours?"

Seemed kind of fitting, all things considered.

There was also a small possibility that she'd been a tiny bit intoxicated when she'd come up with the name.

Yeah, Oreos and Cupcakes of the world, she was looking at you.

Or so she heard.
"What was your deal, anyway? Besides the twin thing."

She shrugged. "Could've been worse than a cop, though. Seriously, my friend woke up on Monday in a fake orphanage surrounded by other people's babies."

She was starting to learn that Fandom culture wasn't huge on accountability. Sigh.
"So how long've you been here, anyway?"

Oh, poor, naive April.

It was hers.
