Bo wasn't sure which was weirder: the fact that when she woke up this morning she wasn't hungry -- and by hungry she meant Hungry and by woke up she meant woke up alone, so no, her lack of appetite wasn't for any obvious reason like having dragged home a vampire, god, or underwear-gnome the night before -- or what she'd found herself doing all morning instead of going out to find a vampire, god, or underwear gnome to drag home.



"Don't ask," she said as Tiny watched her hang it on the door.

He hadn't asked, or even looked like he was going to ask, but better safe than... trying to explain why she felt the inexplicable impulse to monogram the bar towels next.

Pinkie Pie paused by the door to read the fancy cross-stitched sign -- and nearly got brained when a flower pot fell from the sky and crash landed in front of her.

"That's funny," she said. "My tail didn't even twitch!"

Ah well, she had more important concerns. She pushed the door open and trotted in, adjusting her fabulous little green general's helmet. "Hi! That's a really nifty sign you've got on the door! Very eye-catching!"

Well, she couldn't make everybody not ask, unless she just wore a sign around her neck.

Which. Bo reflected, might actually be an idea.

"Thanks," she said with a dry smile and a tug at the last stitch of the little arrow-tipped tail she was adding to the word Nest on the bar towel in her hand. "It's a newly-discovered talent."

She might be thinking recruitment. A hand embroidered banner would be a perfect addition to her epic party planning.

Bo dragged out the Sundae Specials sign from under the bar.

"But they're usually more like this one."

Except better spelled, but give her a break; she was ten when she made it. The dry-erase marker and simple hand-lettering was about the same as she'd do any other night, though.

When you felt off all kriffing day because you didn't have a bad feeling about things, naturally the thing you did was go to the bar to confirm with a person that something was, in fact, up.

It was fun being Jaina, really it was.

Why was Navaan coming back into the bar after not getting alcohol and nearly getting into a fight (http://fandomtownies.livejournal.com/6641423.html?thread=252018703#t252018703) the last time she was here? Because this place had Coke and expired juice boxes, and she hadn't actually wandered down far enough to see that there was yet another bar that wouldn't care whether or not she had a better ID than a hastily-scrawled napkin.

"Hello, there are--boobs." Sure. There had been a sign outside. Whatever. Navaan's attention was firmly grabbed by (ahaha, she'd give you a firm grab, wait)-- firmly grabbed by Bo's...everything. "I'll have a--boob."

It wasn't even that Bo wasn't interested; even more so when she noticed the fangs. It was just that the OMGOMGOMGSCORE RINGANDINGDINGDINGDING genetic alarm clock had fallen so disturbingly silent tonight that she could actually hear the echo of that pickup line clinking to the linoleum.

I had a Starbuck's Skinny Peppermint Mocha the other day. Holy crap that was foul. Nothing ruins a good drink like a fake sugar aftertaste. Next time, screw the calories, I'm getting the real thing.
