Chilly Boulder, Friday Night
So far, Anakin's concept of Christmas was informed entirely by the little things that had been happening all week. It was not at all an accurate one, and that was even before the trees started sprouting up everywhere.
The one that had sprung into being in the middle of the table put his sundae in a precarious position. "Stop it," he complained at the tree, as if it would do any good.
He was currently operating on the theory that the trees were the natural enemy of the mistletoe, and coming to the conclusion that this holiday made no sense.
[OOC: For the sister, primarily, but open! I know, it's shocking.]

"Do these things have no sense of boundaries?" she wondered.

Which he'd ignored, thanks. They made him flaily and he didn't know why.

"The mistletoe is much, much worse," Jaina told him. "It's why I wasn't about to go anywhere yesterday."
Because there were some things she was never planning to have to tell Jag about, and "this plant wanted me to kiss this person" was right up there.

"I guess. The trees aren't talking, at least," Anakin agreed. "Just everywhere."
He dug his spoon into the sundae and came up with a scoop of Rocky Road about the size of a small meteor. "So what are you going to do now that classes are over for the term?"
Only he said it through a mouthful of ice cream, so it was a little muffled.

"I'm coming back next semester," she said. "It's quiet enough at home that I can't feel too bad about not being there."
no subject
"I won't complain about that," he said. "Your class was pretty astral."

And she missed it. Just wait till Jag got his simulator.

Mostly she'd have to put up with him trying to beat her scores. Like that was a surprise.

Since she wasn't even sure she'd be going on missions or anything when she got back there.

He considered that for a moment. "Can he?"

And he was the best astromech ever, excepting Artoo.

"So am I. Funny, isn't it?" he asked. No one would be shocked by this. No one. "Even if you do have a newer model. I'll just have to compensate."
Overcompensate, maybe.

Rowdy might get snarkier.

"When isn't it one?" Anakin countered, and yelped when a new tree sprouted near his elbow. "Sithspawn, these things are getting on my nerves."

"These will go away, right? Like everything else?" Please say yes, Jaina.
