The Perk, Tuesday Afternoon

A little over a week until the full moon, and Jackson was feeling pretty great about himself. He was excited, he wouldn't deny it. His mood wasn't even dampened by his walk across town to the Perk where he had to first deal with a call from Scott hassling him about things back home (apparently Lydia had gone AWOL from the hospital, naked) like it was his problem, and then some polar bears that insisted on giving him bottles of Coke.

He had only one bottle with him as he got to the Perk, where he got himself an Americano and took a seat at one of the tables. Still managing to look smug while he absently watched the polar bears on the street outside the window.

[ooc: Open! But thread with Derek is chronologically last and will contain a little bit from TW S02E01 'Omega'. Which is where some of what's above came from as well!]

Jackson raised an eyebrow at him, doing his best to be calm. "I'm sorry, did I give you any indication that I wanted to listen to you barking random questions at me?"

Maybe it'd serve as a distraction that there appeared to be some kind of... inky, black liquid starting to run from his nose?

He was yet to notice, himself.

Without a snazzy mirror nearby to direct Jackson's attention, Derek was forced to touch the inky black sludgr leaking from the boy's nose to show it off. Gross, Jackson. Gross.

"Wh–– what?"

Blinking, he touched his own fingers to his nose. Yeah, there was definitely something leaking from his nose, alright.

"What."

And then he was scrambling out of his seat and towards the mens room.

Which all but forced Derek to follow him. "What did you do?"

Because that only came from wolfsbane poisoning as far as Derek knew. And Jackson sure as hell wasn't a werewolf...

Yeah, Jackson was kind of busy grabbing bunches of toilet paper to try and stop the freakiest nose bleed he'd ever experienced.

"Nothing, I didn't do anything," he claimed, his voice a little nasal from everything he was doing. It was a lie, too.

"That's a lie," Derek snapped. Because he used anger when he was out of his depth. Explained so much about him, right?

It actually did! But then everyone (well, Jackson) already knew he was completely unhinged, so. "It's not!" Jackson insisted, with his head tipped back in case that helped. He was going through toilet paper at a rate that suggested it didn't. "I'm fine, okay?"

No, Jackson. You most certainly were not.

Derek shook his head, slowly backing away, but there were no super convenient shadows nearby. So he had to make do with the bathroom door.

Yeah, you just leave Jackson on his own! He'd be fine in a moment, honest!
