Stiles' last two dates hadn't gone well, one ending with him being kidnapped and his date getting mauled and the other ending with his date having a psychotic episode at an ice rink. So he didn't have high hopes for this date going well, though maybe since it wasn't actually a real date disaster would be averted. Or maybe it'll be averted because being on a date with Derek was punishment enough.

Fake date or not, Stiles did manage to put in a little bit of effort in his appearance. Meaning he called the other Derek for fashion advice and that phone call got passed off to Peter because Derek so did not care about Stiles' social life. So he was actually wearing something that wasn't flannel for once because you don't turn down Hale fashion advice, even when given by a psycho.

Since he didn't really care about being polite, Stiles got a table and started eating the rolls before Derek got there. This was so weird. Maybe the world will end before things got too awkward.

"It would make for a pretty boring date if I shut up," Stiles pointed out. "It's not like you're one to start conversation."

Derek responded to that with one of those amazing serial killer smiles that he knew Stiles was such a fan of.

"Stop that!" Stiles said, throwing a half-eaten roll at Derek.

Derek snatched the roll out of the air, frowning down at it for a moment before taking a bite. You snooze you lose on eating it! "You're not a very good date."

Oh yeah, because Derek was the expert on dating.

One of these days he was going to throw something at Derek and it'll actually hit him. One day! "Screw you, I'm a great date."

Maybe if he got Derek doped up on wolfsbane? Oh! Or after he gets stabbed a lot by the alpha!

Derek took another pointed bite of the roll.

"I at least bothered to look nice, you didn't even shave," Stiles said. "And I handed you a roll."

"I look fine." He was wearing the jeans that weren't ripped! And, you know, were far too tight. All his jeans were too tight, though. "You couldn't pull off the look."

That's why you walked funny, Derek. Just wear pants that fit!

"Hey, I look fine in your jacket." That he still had in his possession.

YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM.

"You're giving that back."

Stiles smiled. "No I'm not."

[justlurkinghere]

"Yes. You are." This could go on aaaaall night.

"You can't make me."

[justlurkinghere]

"How much time do you spend at my house?"

[robinonadderall]

"It's Mike's house." And he spent a ton of time there.

"And it's my room." You need to stop being there, Stiles. And stop with the pillow forts. Puppy Joe needs structure!

Don't even act like you're not impressed with Stiles' pillow forts. Give him enough time and he'll create one with a pulley system.

"Are you threatening to ban me from your room until I give you back your jacket?" Stiles asked. "I don't like your bed that much, dude."

"I'll ban you from the dog." Derek, no you won't. That dog won't listen to anyone else.

"But that would make Puppy Joe sad." Would you really put your child through that, Derek? Separating him from his mother?

[justlurkinghere]

"You do realize that you keep casting yourself as a woman in this, right?" NURTURING ONE.

[robinonadderall]

"Have you seen yourself, what the hell else would I be?" he asked. "The only thing I have on you is that I actually have body hair."

"What?" HE HAD BODY HAIR, STILES. HE JUST NEVER WORE SHORTS.

"I've seen you without a shirt more times than I care to note, dude," Stiles said. "I think I'm the only guy in Beacon Hills that has chest hair."

"It's called shaving, Stiles." Yes. He shaved his chest, but had perpetual 5 o'clock shadow.

"But why?" he asked. "I mean, Jackson's captain of the swim team, he has an excuse. And so do my drag queen friends for obvious reasons. But you, Scott and Danny..."
