Cafe Fina, Friday, late afternoon/evening
After more strange dreams about Triela, Momoko had finally given in and decided she totally missed Fandom.
So she'd told her mother she was taking a few days break, told Masaki she wouldn't be able to work the weekend, and was soon back on the island. Her first stop had been the Android Dungeon to catch up on some of her comics and manga. Now that rather large stack of books was half read and sitting on the table as she sat in her most favourite cafe in the world (sorry Priestly) and enjoyed a third slice of cake. She watched out the window at the world she'd called home for three years and didn't even notice the extra people who seemed to be around. People were always coming and going at Fandom, after all. Which she'd actually forgotten she'd missed.
Or maybe she had just missed being where she'd finally been herself and accepted?
And speaking of being accepted... She wasn't liking this new Cosmic Girl they'd added to the team. "I totally should have bought that Active Comics back-issue instead," Momoko sighed and turned to catch the attention of a waitress. Maybe another slice of cake would make reading the rest of the issue easier.
[Cafe Fina is open, Momoko is in town and available. ESPECIALLY FOR ONE *AHEM*]

And then she saw who it was and Momoko's face went slack. "No!"
It totally had to be someone who just looked like Triela, right? Like the guy who'd looked like Warren?

Really.
At all.
Please excuse her scooting her chair slowly away.

If she were disappointed or hurt by the idea, she kept it rather well-buried.

"No! I mean, Yes. I mean.... You're a ghost!" Momoko managed to not shout that too loud.

"Uhm. But you... You're the Triela I know, right? Who, uhm." Should she say it? Stupid Fandom and it's weirdness may have gotten a different Triela, after all... "Collapsed in the park right after graduation and we had to go to the clinic?"
AND THEN YOU DIED?

Triela shrugged a bit apologetically. "I'm really here, but only until sundown tomorrow."

Not that Momoko gave Triela a chance to answer, since she was coming around the chairs and hugging her. "I had the strangest dreams about you and now you're here!"
If she was going to get new powers, this was an awesome one!
"YOU'RE HERE!"
Okay, she did shout that part.

"I'm here," she agreed softly. "I guess you missed me, huh?"

...
She pulled back slightly, but did NOT let go of her friend. "This totally calls for more cake! And tea... you can eat, right?" Because that would be HORRIBLE if she couldn't!
"Wow, you totally look the same. You're staying with me tonight, right?"

It was a lie, of course. There were a lot of changes, though most of them were subtle.
"And I suppose if you really want me to, I can." It wasn't like she had other plans.
no subject
"So... Where should I start?" Besides sitting there grinning inanely at her.

Momoko thought for a moment. "I mean, Jaime and I broke up," say that part really quick. "Uhm. After graduation, Raven moved to New Gotham with Dinah. Dinah and Jaime are both in college. Karla graduates soon. Leda had to fight a war to keep her throne - oh, she's a queen now! And time got messed up in her world, so she's twenty years older; it was so weird, since I had just been there at the funeral, playing with the kids, and then they were all grown up two weeks later! Uhm, what else...?"
