Fandom High Lacrosse Club, The Park, Tuesday After Classes

Yes, the lacrosse club were braving the park again. No, there wasn't going to be any hot chocolate because Jackson wasn't Stiles and therefore didn't have the same kind of consideration for anyone else's comfort. In fact, with how uncomfortable he himself felt a lot of the time, lately, it was almost surprising he wasn't putting them in a freezing simulation right now.

"Okay, the key to staying warm is to keep moving. So, play."

He didn't have a lot to say today, no.

As usual.

Mercy did some quick stretches and then decided to take a lap or two around the park to warm up.

Kate was, as always, impressed by Jackson's motivational speeches.

Korra was terribly impressed by Jackson's motivational speech, really she was.

He didn't say what to play, so Ace shrugged and (at least until there were enough people around to do anything vaguely sportlike) started playing Catch with a particularly adventurous squirrel.

If by Catch you meant watching a squirrel reach out both front paws like it could possibly hold a lacrosse ball and get promptly bowled over, then waiting patiently for it to finish dancing and chattering triumphantly atop the ball like it had totally meant to do that and nose it back to her.

"... What are you doing?"

Judge, Jackson, judge.

"Contributing to the general health and sporting abilities of the local inhabitants?" Ace shot back, both verbally and physically since it was her turn to throw the ball again.

"It's a squirrel," Jackson remarked flatly.

As if Ace didn't know that. You could never tell with Fandom folks.

"It needs to warm up just like anybody else. What, you want him to get a charley horse in his tail?"

"It's a squirrel," Jackson repeated, in case that wasn't clear. "It won't be playing."

Because Jackson was going to crack a molar with his jaw tension if the squirrels tried to mess with his lacrosse.

That garnered some less-than-triumphant chattering from the squirrel.

Ace eyed it. "My Squirrel-talk's a bit shaky, but I think he just said he could beat the shorts off holographic Greenberg with one nut tied behind his back."

More squeaking, which was either a correction or it was yelling at Ace for just making crap up; hard to tell.

"Sorry; that was supposed to be 'with a load of nuts strapped to his back.'"

Jackson narrowed his eyes at the squirrel.

Then he scoffed.

"Well, everyone can beat Greenberg."

Or do something that even vaguely resembles playing.

If you dare.

Ditto.

Sigh I have stuff to turn in in a couple of days and my brain is like lol nope.
