Cafe Luke's, Wednesday

"No way," Priestly said. "It's definitely Thursday."

"Was there a new episode of Paranormal last night?" the cook asked.

"How the hell should I know?" said Priestly.

"There wasn't," the cook said sharply. "It's Wednesday."

Priestly sat down at the counter with a groan and put his chin on his arms. Spring break was so boring!

"Make me one with everything!"

Hello to you, Priestly, and now you can make a Zen joke.

"From what?" Dinah grinned and bounced over for a hug. "I mean, of course I did. That's what I do!" Strike Supergirl pose!

"Dude," Dinah said pityingly. "You need to come home with me to New Gotham." A beat. "And teach me how to cook?" Heh. Waitaminute. "Dinner theater?"

"I want Windy City," Dinah demanded. "Or that French thing that just won a lot of Oscars. Pleeeeease? And something to eat. And seriously, come home with me this weekend, this is terrible."

Dinah snickered. "Are you sure you could hit the high notes?" Then picked up the ladle and shook it in the direction of the kitchen. "Is this any way to respect your boss? Cookie! We're disappointed in you!"

"Thank you!" Dinah called. "Or he's running out of stuff to throw... As long as I get my Lancer, I'm gonna call it a win." She finally sat down at the counter and grinned. "So they've all been gone this week? Won't be back 'til what, Sunday?"

"Probably because we were too busy drinking on board a cruise ship and swimming at the Atlantis resort. And getting messed with by Portalocity that one half-summer. Plus they never asked. I would've voted for ... Japan, or something." She grinned. "Plus, hey, your own fault you didn't make it all the way to Turkey, and turned around when you hit Mongolia."

"I knoooow. Who'd have thunk it?" Dinah smirked a little, kicking her feet. "And now all your customers are in... Turkey. What's in Turkey? This is not the first place I'd think of, for Spring Break. Also, I don't see any dancing."

Dinah hooted, then did a belly-dance-like shimmy. "Now it's Turkish delight on a moonlit night. Hey, what *is* Turkish delight? Do you know how to make that?" Her stomach rumbled.

"It would be dinner-theater-ish. Theme-y. Also I don't know any other Turkish food." She gave him a whimsical look. "You need to sing more. You did really well at karaoke at Momoko's celebration."

"I don't think that helped your singing. Just your nerve," Dinah teased gently. "But any time you want me to buy you a beer so you'll sing, I'll start a tab."
