Dite's Decadent Delights, Friday
"Pretty sure you're not supposed to be hiding inside that thing, guys."
It was a nice, normal day at Dite's. Sparkle was surrounded on all sides by sex paraphernalia, the cock was wearing a pretty sun hat and shades today, and there were squirrels tucked away in nooks and crannies around the store.
Or, rather, a very particular nook.
"Seriously, though. Those are the Japanese imports. They're not even cheap. How are we supposed to display those if they're covered in... like... pikachu cooties?"
He idly unwrapped a dick-shaped chocolate pop and bit then end off, staring at the weird squirrel things suspiciously.
"Is that even hygienic? Can we even sell those things now?"
Yep. A totally normal day.
[Open and OCD-free!]

"What day is it?"

Or, as Sparkle was starting to lovingly know it as, 'playing with all the merch at the sex toy shop' day.

Sparkle lived a charmed life, really.
"And yeah, those squirrels are doing exactly what it looks like. Perverted little freaks."

"Wellll, you know, the whole schedule thing-- not my thing. And last week I was a raccoon by now." Kenzi paused. "And a couple times I slept in after my shift at Caritas...." Until the next day, maybe? "Hunh. Oh, I love the sunhat on the cock, by the way."

The shades really helped pull the whole look together.
"Girl, I think all your sleepin' in just gave me your job."
He did not sound particularly apologetic about that. This was an awesome job and he was keeping it, thanks.

The employee sign-in sheet said, like, last year sometime. Not that Sparkle had snooped around to see if he was the only one actually working here or whatever.

Because he was working here now, he could do that.

Because really, weird import squirrels. Really.

Who wanted to learn, right? That was too close to effort.

Or else he'd be hyper aware of just what it was that kids needed that he never had growing up, and he'd be an awesome father. One of those things.
"But, you know, I wouldn't have to worry about accidental kids. It's not like actually ending up with one someday is impossible. I mean. Canada."
Equality was a wonderful thing up in the True North Strong and Free. He didn't run around screaming that he was gay, but at least he grew up in a country where his right to be was protected by law.
... His right to break into people's houses and steal their forks and spare socks was less so, and would probably impede the adoption process somewhat all the same.
[It was past my bedtime like an hour ago- crashing now. Night!]

Yeah, Graduation Loomed.
[ha, sleep tight! laters!]

"Not in any hurry to head back to Hogtown, are you?" Sparkle's smirk went almost sympathetic for a moment, there. "That'll be me in like two years. You've got family to go back to at least, don't you?"

"So, are there actually any students from Toronto here who haven't lived on the fucking streets at one point or another?"
Because, seriously, this was way too familiar.

She'd survive. She always did. It just... kinda sucked.

What was there to look forward to? Spending more time with Lewis? He liked Lewis. Maybe even loved the man a little. But here was more home than anywhere had ever been.

He'd seriously considered trying.

Stupid graduation.

"..a camel?" Now Kenzi was entertained. "What were you guys going to do with it?"
no subject
There was nothing romantic about riding a camel. At all. Ever.

Poor Jaina.

And also all the arguing they'd done.

Much as he liked to pretend he was the boss of everything ever, the sad truth remained at the end of the day that he wasn't. Not even remotely.

Sparkle had no idea why people kept hiring him, but work meant money, and money wasn't something he was in any position to turn down.
