Freedom Arms, Thursday

Well, it had cost him a day and a night's work - most of which had actually been devoted to finding and destroying every bug in the building - Ron could step down off his ladder and see it was Good. The old sign declaring it 'Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center' had been taken down, supplanted with a homemade wood-and-metal sigh proudly reading FREEDOM ARMS, and nothing else.

On the ground, beside the entrance, there now stood a towering wooden sculpture of an eagle, wings spread. Anyone entering the store would now have to deal with the eagle wing that hung right above the opening.

Ron had also considered adding some American flags to the entrance, but that could be considered overkill.

Satisfied with his work, he went back inside, sat down behind the desk, and ate his bacon.

Alice had felt the need to check her workplace. Call it main character female intuition.

She was not sure of how she felt about the changes.

"...hello?" she called as she walked in.

[ I've got like half an hour of actual free time before entering SP land until Monday, more or less, so yeah, if you're up to it, I'm up to it. ]

"Actually I work here on Mondays," Alice said as she looked at Ron, her tone careful. "At least I think I did."

"It certainly does," Alice answered, suddenly remembering the kid, Alec, and that other guy she hadn't heard his name too often. "I'm Alice. Who would you be?"

Well they were going to get along just fine.

"Major. Well congrats...Ron", Alice said without much enthusiasm. She had kind of grown to like (as in, not mind at all) Cable, but she figured that whatever, life goes on.

"Things are pretty dead in this place most of the time anyway. We're still not allowed to sell guns to people though, right?"

"The weapons on display are the real thing after all. Plus there's some meditation crap thing we offer too...although there's not much people to offer it," Alice said as she waved an arm around, a little grin on her face.

"All in all there wasn't anyone buying, and we weren't selling. I'm wondering if that's going to change now." Not that she would sell guns to children, but hopefully the rest of the island might feel like getting something. Sometime. Ever.

Wow. Alright.

"So now we sell guns, cool. It sure might make things interesting." Not that Alice thought anyone would ever buy a gun in this joint, but hey, it could happen.
