In the last day Jaina had found out there was a universe where she'd had a kid with Eric, decided that was something Jag probably didn't know about, handled ~~at least one~~ a tantrum and thought about giving that learning to cook thing another try because Cheerios-based diets didn't sound that healthy.

Just another one of those weekends here in Fandom.

She'd brought Sel'je to the bar tonight, which might be considered bad parenting if his dad didn't own the place (and if this establishment had poles like the other one) and she was sure he couldn't get into too much trouble while she was working.

Like anyone on this island has a reason to drink this weekend or anything.

Where the music is actually normal, probably because there are other things to complain about.

Where the guy who thinks children are delicious hangs out.

Eric gave Jaina a nod, and the kid a weird look, before finding a spot in the VIP section.

Jaina headed over, Sel'je in tow, and greeted Eric with, "Guess what?"

Uh oh.

"Is it the weekend where the students turn small again?" he asked, frowning.

"No, it's the weekend where alternate universe kids show up," she said. "Congratulations, it's a boy."

The boy in question gave him a grin and a wave.

Eric let out a curse in Swedish.

"Really?"

"Really. His name's Sel'je and he knows Swedish."

So no cursing, Eric.

"That was a bad word," Sel'je told him, nodding.

Eric blinked. "His name is Sel'je? Why?"

"...Because that's what we named him?" Jaina tried. She had no idea, or why the name deserved a 'why'.

"I think it's a town or a shelf or something," Eric said, still frowning. "You must have been on a lot of drugs."

"I didn't know that, which means I'm going to assume you came up with it," Jaina decided. "A shelf?"

"Something from Ikea, anyway," Eric decided, based on nothing.

"...We did not name our child after furniture."

Yes, you did.

"Pretty sure we did," Eric said. "Well, whatever insane universe he comes from where I could even produce children..."

"I must have been on a lot of drugs," Jaina agreed, ruffling Sel'je's hair. "Well, we get a couple days with him, at least."

And she still wasn't telling Jag.

"Nights," Eric corrected, smiling.

He turned to the boy. "//Has she been nice to you?//" he asked in rapid-fire Swedish.

"//She didn't have Cheerios//," Sel'je complained.

"Do you have Cheerios now?" Eric asked Jaina.
