Luke's, Sunday
Priestly was more shuffling than walking by the time they made it to the diner from the Preserve, but he sure as hell wasn't complaining. It was bright and sunny and pleasantly warm and most importantly not a monster-filled dungeon.
When he came in, the kitchen staff looked up from where they were sitting at one of the tables in the middle of the dining room, stacks of multicolored root vegetable chips laid out across it, fans of cards in their hands. The cook had the end of a carrot sticking out of his mouth like a cigar.
"Damn, boys," he said. "Looks like our break's over."
"All the food," Priestly said, slouching into a chair. "Make all the food, and then you guys can get back to your poker."
Luke's was open.
[ooc: no OCD, open to all those who need to feeeeeeed themselves.]

Dinah settled in next to Priestly and grinned. "Hi guys. Vegetarian everything for Raven. Meat everything for me. Everything everything for Priestly."
She yawned and put her head down on her arms. "Chocolate everything after that."

"And Tylenol-3!" Dinah yelled after them. "How much is your shoulder aching right now? Crap, I forgot to ask them what day it is here. Hopefully not later than Monday."

Of course, it takes longer than that. There were reassurances and promises and explanations to make, as far as Dinah was able. The call finally wrapped ten minutes later when Dinah told them she was going to eat the phone if she didn't hang up now.
Wandering back in, there was a burger. Fries. Oh god oh god real food. MMMmmmmmm. Some of those noises she was making were probably more Pay-per-View than Cafe Luke's had seen without Navaan being there for a while.
"Alfred says 'hi' and 'good show' and Helena's demanding you visit."

Bring her all of the vegetables, please. All of them.

"You okay?" he asked. "Dinah said a little about what, uh. Happened. Down there."

"I think I am all right," she said. "I seem to be myself once more, and not what I was transformed into. I was with those who found what was causing us to be trapped in the maze, and we were able to put an end to it."

Omnomnomnomnomnomnom. Swallow. "Feeling better?"

She grabbed a slice of bread, contemplated buttering it, then dipped it in the spinach-cheese dip instead. Nom.

"I have not been successful in my original reason for coming to Fandom, aside from learning of a child," she said. "But I will be back in Gotham soon, and I appreciate the offer. I will have to take them up on it."

But after that, clean clothes and then a decent meal were in order, all of which still struck her as extravagant and surreal, so when she wandered into Luke's with her hair still damp
not from getting rained on kthxshe had a bemused half-smile that might, admittedly, come across as slightly creepy-looking on her face."I think I'd like to stuff myself with food until I fall asleep, and then not wake up for a whole day," she declared as she settled herself in a chair.

Sorry if you'd heard that one too many times already, Priestly.

It was important to him that people knew that.
He held out his good hand, the other bound to his chest in a sling. "I'm Priestly. I run this joint. What can we getcha?"

She propped her chin on one hand and hummed a couple of bars of . . . well, whatever it was, it wasn't terribly recognizable.
"I wouldn't mind something with plenty of meat and potatoes. That's nice and filling, isn't it?"
no subject
"I swear, if you didn't look like you'd fall over from a stiff wind," the cook grumbled, and he went back into the kitchen to whip something up.
"Don't mind him," Priestly said. "It's just how he shows his affection."
