The Devil's Nest | Thursday Evening

Buffy had luckily avoided the last batch of Fandom weirdness though she had heard about it on the radio. She sympathized, but was so happy she avoided it this time. She had way too many experiences with similar stuff.

The DJ was playing 80's hits so Buffy didn't have much to complain about tonight.

Fresh from an appointment with the tattoo artist at Ink & Holes -- and yeah, while he was there, he got a few new holes in his ear, too, might as well, right? -- Priestly was riding a bit of a buzz (body art made him happy, okay?) and decided to go ahead and start the weekend up a bit early.

"Hey," he greeted with a grin. "You know how to make a Dark'n'stormy?"

"Absolutely not." She knew how to get beer. And drinks that clearly stated the ingredients in the name. Like gin and tonics.

"Fair enough," Priestly said. Honestly, ginger beer was a weird enough ingredient that he didn't expect everyone to have it on hand, anyway. "How about a rum and coke?"

"That I can handle." She at least knew what went in it anyway. "Sorry, I totally fail at bartendering."

That was totally a word.

"Hey, you're providing me with alcohol. That's clearly not a total failure."

"That's sweet," Buffy joked, sitting down Priestly's drink. It might have been mostly rum. "I figure I should at least attempt to do my job. You know, since I'm getting paid and everything."

Priestly took a sip. There was a little bit of a gasp and some blinking there, as, yes, it was in fact mostly rum. "That's very conscientious of you. I'm sure your boss appreciates the effort."

Sigh. Today, man.
