Park | Tuesday Afternoon

It wasn't really a rare sight to see Stiles in gym clothes because he was a guy and they tended to dress in Tyler Hoechlin chic when it got hot. However, it was the rare day that he was actually exercising with them on. Running, even! Running. For fun. He wasn't doing it because Scott said he and Isaac were going to join the track team and Stiles wanted to keep up with Isaac's stupid beautiful angular angelic face. He wasn't.

And he was just gonna lay on this bench for a little while until his motivation to run kicked in. Which would happen any minute now, really.

Gert was taking her dinosaur for a walk, as one did, when she spotted Stiles doing what appeared to be taking a nap (?) on a park bench.

"You know, the flamingos'll end up pecking at you if you lay there for too long," she advised.

"I'm not afraid of flamingos." He was afraid of a lot of things, but birds weren't one of them.

This fear would be remedied in the next few months, most likely.

Stiles wasn't allowed to just live his life free of fear, it was true.

"Really? I always thought they were kind of intimidating," she said, taking a seat on another bench nearby. "Something about the height and the unabashedly being pink."

"What's wrong with pink? Pink is great," Stiles declared. "I don't know when pink started getting a bad rep but I'm going to state here and now that I love pink."

Or, rather, he loved when Lydia wore pink. Which was often.

"Good choice." Becaus the word 'bitch' wasn't Gert's favorite. "Well, I guess purple doesn't have the best rep either, and that's my favorite, so maybe pink can get a pass."

Purple flamingos would look really weird, for the record.

"Good. Pink deserves respect." He didn't really feel that strongly on the matter but he needed to push for no other reason than to push sometimes. "Pink's not even my favorite color. It's red."

Stiles shrugged even though it probably couldn't be seen very well from where he was laying. "I was on the lacrosse team. I think I'm still technically on the team actually. Coach never grasped the concept of me leaving."

"Uh, he used to play. Before we all dropped out of school." That was a weird thing to say considering that she currently went to school. "It was more permanent in his case. Anyway, it's hard to be on a team when you're not in school. ...Except for you, I guess."
