Atlas Gym, Saturday Afternoon

Dean wasn't exactly the gym going type, but he was willing to make concessions when it came to finding a place where he wouldn't break the guy who was giving him a place to sleep.

Which would be why Dean was at Atlas today. And not to ogle the women on the elliptical machines.

That was just a minor perk of the place.

"Right," Priestly said, looking around. "On a scale of one to suck, how terrible is this going to be?"

"About a thirty?" They had so much hope for Priestly.

"Greeeeat." He could not believe he was going to do this. "So. Where do we start?"

"How about you try throwing a punch?" Make Dean laugh a little. You know. Keep things light.

"No." A beat. "Only a little laughing."

"Oh, well, in that case. . . ." Priestly said, rolling his eyes. "Seriously, shouldn't we, like, warm up first or something?"

He was maybe a little scared of trying to hit Dean, yes. It was like punching his own less-charming face!

Dean just rolled his eyes. "C'mon. Hit me."

"Fine, geez!" Priestly groused. He sort of pouted at Dean for a moment longer, then threw a very awkward punch at his chest.

Well, at least he didn't cringe too much while he was doing it?

Which, hey, at least it landed? "Wow, you're not even trying, are you?" Dean asked, rubbing his chest.

"Hitting people for no reason just feels weird."

Priestly rolled his eyes. "Dude. You proposed marriage to one of my burgers. At least go for an insult I'd believe."

There were many responsibilities Sam had in Fandom, and one of them was apparently making sure Dean didn't do anything stupid. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" he said. Violence didn't always have to be the answer, did it?

"Uh, of course it is. Guy needs to know how to defend himself, right?" DEAN. DEAN, NO.

"Isn't that what tasers and living with you is for?" Sam asked. "I assume you've put protections on the place?"

"Well, I'm not always gonna live with him," Dean grumbled. "And it's not like we have the best luck with friends."

Wait. Sam didn't know that yet.

"We do around here," Sam said, determined to be difficult. Sorry Dean. "Are you at least going to start off slow?"

"Dean," Sam whined said in an annoyed tone. "Please be nice to Priestly. He hasn't had the same experiences as us. He doesn't need to be fully trained badass or anything, okay?"
