Stark Industries, Saturday
Jessica had a bag packed and ready for her to take to New Mexico when her portal was ready later this afternoon. In preparation for that, she spent her time at Stark's today working on some new inserts for her gloves. Her right glove had a small EMP bomb. The EMP burst wouldn't have a large radius, but if a giant murder-robot got too close, it would be a nice one-shot Hail Mary to get her out of the most immediate danger. And her left glove had a special lining in the fingers that, when activated, should give her webs an electric charge. The hope for that one was to make her webs into more of an offensive weapon, like when that magic flower turned them into fire.
Jessica didn't get too far with that, though, before getting a message from SHIELD ordering her to report to the Triskelion tonight for an important assignment.
... That kind of ruined the fun of going rogue into enemy territory, but hey, Jessica wasn't going to object. It wasn't like she had enough intel to go into Sentinel territory with a real game plan anyway, although it should be noted that not having a game plan had and would never stop her from taking action.
Since she was going to have SHIELD resources at her disposal and probably wouldn't need this stuff today, she slowed down on her quick build for the shock lining since that one was potentially dangerous to her and definitely needed more testing. Instead, she finalized the EMP device since it was almost done anyway, then sent a quick text out to people saying she was going home tonight for a few days.
The head's up text was tradition. Also, good warning for if she ever didn't make it back....
[OOC: After this, Jess is going into full on canon catchup mode for a couple days and will be several kinds of traumatized when she's back in Fandom. So, if you'd like to deal with a relatively normal Jess, this would be the post for it!]

"Everything all right?" she asked, which was sort of like a hello.

"...How?"
Valid question.

Or else she was murdered by a Sentinel or something. But she wasn't a mutant, so she should skate by there.

Fingers crossed.
"Good. I'd hate to have to hire someone new."

"You'd replace me that soon?" Jessica asked. "I'm stunned. Where's the love, Tony?"

Now cry for his amusement!

"So sad," Jessica said. "But seriously, if things go well, you'll barely know I was gone."

"Good. JARVIS would miss you."
