Outside J,GoB | Tuesday Afternoon
It wasn't that April was day-drinking on the bench outside the bakery that she was banned from entering. It was more like she was drinking spiked Gatorade on the bench outside... yeah, that same place.
She had given up on nonchalantly encouraging Cliff to pee on the bench, and instead had moved on to drawing mustaches and openly hanging genitals on celebrities in a magazine she'd found somewhere.
Wait, where had she found it?
Huh.
[[open! the saga of april and J,GoB delights me so very much.]]

Meanwhile, April was being totally mean and not avoiding eye contact like a civilized person would. "Hey, you actually have a puppy," she said, which was a mean but subtle reference to what she had been calling him the last time they saw each other. "'Sup?"

"Same old," April replied lazily. "Mostly just wondering if thrift stores take leather corsets. Do you know?"
Yeah, probably no, he did not.

"I'm not really an expert in leather." Kevlar, on the other hand... "You could always keep it. Halloween's not that far away."

Said in an unaffected monotone. She didn't take her eyes off of Clint, either. April could be creepy to talk to sometimes.

She glanced at her fingernails. Not really for any particular reason. They were fingernails.
Anyway, she figured Clint's teasing had earned him a break from the torture, so-- "What's up otherwise?"

Thanks, April.
As for the mention of how quiet things had been-- "Probably we're all going to turn into flying bananas this weekend now."

Incidentally, April had just turned twenty.

Her tone didn't sound like she was lying, but because she was feeling so nice, April clued Clint in with a lazy little smirk.

"Maybe," April granted. "What's the power?"

totally could not read at this hour, whoopsgenuinely thought about that for a moment. "I don't know, usually that's a sign of someone with a bad agenda," he said. "So it's probably not a nice power. Either that, or it's something insanely boring."no subject
Just a random suggestion!

'Like' science in that it was nothing like it.
