Sushi Station, Friday, late Afternoon
SOMEone had forgotten that Wonka's wasn't open on Fridays, so it was a candy-less, grumpy Momoko who was eating her way through all the best plates today and occasionally calling out to the chef for specific sushi.
"Maguro, onegai!"
"Hai!!"
What? Sure she could just ask for 'tuna', but this way made her feel like she was back home.
Besides, the chef totally needed to work on his accent.
*chomp*
"Ojiisan! Motto tako! Tako!"
"Hai HAI!"
[open!]

Billy's Japanese was fluent, and only slightly accented.
[God save all here.] he said, amusing himself with an Irish greeting spoken in Japanese.

...AWESOME!!
"/Hi! Welcome!/" Sure it wasn't her shop, but the manager wasn't offering the traditional greeting to a new customer, so she totally would.
She held up a tuna sashimi. "/The tuna is awesome today!/"

"/Thank you very much./" he said, smiling. "/I'll have to try it then./" He sat down and ordered, then turned to Momoko. There were only a handful of people he remembered from Fandom who spoke Japanese, and most of those were gone into the ether.
"/My name's William. Are you a student here?/"

At least until midnight"/You must be new yourself!/" she laughed. "/Alumni! I'm Momoko. Momoko Akatsutsumi! Nice to meet you./"

She sighed, a wistful grin on her face. "/Though that would be totally cool./"

We don't really have too much weird in my world. Not like that anyway. Though I did once travel to a version of my world that had some incredibly crazy stuff./" He'd actually been more weirded out by his father being a whiny pushover and Serpentor rolling over for some dude who claimed to be his maker, than he had been at the whole notion of Cobra-La.

Following that?
"But an alternate world, would have, like, no mole-men living underground or no rabbits on the moon or something big that's not just that there was a different decision made once."
See? Perfect sense!
"Alien mutants?"

Ah, now he, who had only the barest knowledge, had to try to describe Cobra-La.
"Uhm, well I'm not sure what they were exactly. I was only in that world for one weekend. But from what I gathered, there was this race of humanoid beings, and...not so humanoid I think, who had been trying to take over the world for a while, using my dad's terrorist organization as it's foot soldiers." He thought for a moment. "They might have been demons."
no subject
"Your dad is a terrorist?"
no subject
If nothing else, even if Cobra Commander escaped this time, he would be far less impressive, having had his organization and back broken.
no subject
"Good." She frowned, though, curious. "What is the ambition of a terrorist? I always thought it was just to, you know, cause terror? Make people afraid. how can you be more?"
no subject
"World Domination." Billy told her. "Though towards the end he expressed a desire to see mankind in a perpetual state of war, and finally he tried to render all of Earth uninhabitable to human beings as kind of a doomsday revenge scheme."
Billy's father issues, let us show you them. And this isn't even bringing up the four or more times his father had tried to kill him.
